A fresh breeze drifted through the trees, rustling the final remaining leaves that adorned the branches. Summer and autumn would soon exchange hands and the shades of the forest would turn from bright green hues to brown and orange. The animals prepared themselves to burrow away in winter, making their homes ready for the ensuing hibernation that would soon take hold. Their world would sleep until the seasons changed and the sun blazed down again...

A year on from their last release, an EP courtesy of Hems, locally-indebted label E2-E8 turn their attention back to new talent bubbling up in the East London Underground. Shelter is the work of Orphic, a duo made up of producers Kieran Jandu and Babak Faraji, who are exploring the depths of techno. Slick, elegant and crystal clear, the four tracks travel through deep, dubbed-out moments to peak-time offerings and vibrant, bubbling electronics, finished off with a remix from Bunker and Clone affiliate Marco Shuttle.

Undersound is back with its second split EP. This time we have invited two of the leading new school electro producers: Cyan85 (@cyan85) and Leite Dos Santos aka Cem3340 (@cem3340cem3340)

The EP opens with two tracks from scene mainstay Cyan85. “If I could” haunts the listener with its vocoder and eerie pads and bassline whereas “Leave” is a classic groovy workout.

On the flipside, Leite Dos Santos presents two machine-funk infused jams, with the jazzy melodies in “Before The Train” and oriental mood in “Night Warriors” closing the EP.

Quoting Vinyl Fanatiks: "This is a bit of a monster EP. Fugitive with what I think is his best track he has made since his return to producing. Silver Fox teams up with Spyda (Black Tarantula) for some really heavy hardcore breakbeat.
Then on the flip we have MOY back again, remixing both tracks with his unique breakbeat twist.

Its a proper stunner of an EP with limited test pressings. Finished release towards the end of the year."

Needless to say, they have been on heavy rotation since I first received the demos and they aren’t anywhere close to getting old yet.

They somehow straddle the line between beautiful soundscapes and absolute face melting, eyes rolling back, grabbing the person next to yours’s shoulders heat. Does that even make sense? Well I think you get what I mean.

The EP is out next Friday the 21st.

not even noticed are an incredibly talented German duo who have been laser focussed on their signature sound since their foundation in 2020. Hailing from Frankfurt & Leipzig, Carsten & Lucas have amassed a gorgeous catalogue of music that incorporates the ethereality of Trance combined with the gritty, heads-down feeling of classic Acid House and Breakbeat. Their latest EP Source Transformation lands on Faux Poly this Spring.

This release showcases the artists inherent flair for treading the line between delicately uplifting melodies and rattling heavy bass. Each track conjures up a beautifully atmospheric future-acid world that is a dream to get lost in.

Words from the artist:
We started producing this EP in the late summer of 2023 in which some of our project’s biggest releases had dropped. Seeking for a way to stick to our signature sound without repeating ourselves we aimed for new grooves and patterns to combine with our sound sphere. The first three tracks of the EP were produced within one month, while Astral Surge was a few months older and happened to be rearranged to fit into the overall vibe of the EP. When Joe and Warren reached out to us to work with them on a Faux Poly project we had a feeling that these would be the tracks that could make an EP. We’re even more glad the feeling was mutual.
