Programmer of the Macadam club in Nantes (FR), co-founder and resident DJ of the intersectional collective Zone Rouge and co-founder and producer for the No-Scrubs label, the Amazon of nocturnal asphalt, @aasana comes out when the night burns.
The tips of her fingers on the indicator lights, the crowd in excitement and the radiant smiles, the atoms rubbing and the aromas mixing. You can hear the sounds of the city, the sounds of factories and partitioned basements. The poetry of the machine in selection, Asaana plays the sound of abandonment, the one where Bass calls the organism to order. It’s in the chaos that the balance of her sets between Bass Music, Breaks, Hardrum and Techno is drawn.

Timelapse in Saturn features a sonic series of abstractions, flowing cycles and organic forms of ritual origin and invoked for trance and exploration state. This music blend can be seen as a window into another dimension or portal into this alien tribal landscape as well as a means to manifest this world and its power.

Co-Founder of @ouroboros-crew and @ewo_collectif, Toe explores music with no genre distinction combining hypnotic grooves, feeling music as an energy to experience. She focuses on an infinite search for psychedelic and tribal atmospheres creating sonic tales to enhance imagination.

From glitchy ambient to intimate breaks to twisted vocals to frenetic bass to cerebral techno to energetic atmospheric dnb to sexy footwork to crazy drums to weird IDM, she crunches genres and pieces the whole together with syncretic taste, the result is a sensualizing surprise that explodes in the mouth.
Joanna OJ is a serious digger, she surrounds you in a deep dream of experimental drama, between aerial bubbles, elusive pulsations and seismic bursts. She runs @caninalrecs , a label to remain lively but fluid in body and nomadic in spirit. She curates a monthly show Canine à la furie on Retreat Radio (Malmö, Sweden) and bi-monthly Di Troglodita on Egregore (Toulouse, France).

For the first album release on Pure Space - and a welcome addition to our Home Listening Series - we are excited to present "At Every Corner" by Mara, a pivotal figure in Eora/Sydney's experimental music community.

Since 2020, the Home Listening series has showcased the introspective and wandering side of the label, featuring releases from Jennifer Loveless, jobfit, and 黑芝麻 (Hēi zhī ma). This series diverges from club constricts, inviting listeners to explore deeper, more contemplative soundscapes.

Throughout "At Every Corner", Mara weaves a rich tapestry of sound, creating captivating composites of audio snippets taken from her travels and performances along the way. The result is a mesmerising long-play that invites the listener into an ever wandering journey.

Next you will hear “Images We've Created”, a track created during a residency in Bundanon with Temporary Position. Consolidating a week’s worth of audio recordings into one layered composition, this track reimagines time and textures. Leaning into the discussions on materiality and live streaming that filled the residency, the track archives fragments of the environment, daily routines and ideas.
