Italian act Agents Of Time have established a sterling reputation over the years. Their mesmerising approach to club music blends emotive melodies and transcendent rhythms, with dance floor-centred beats.
The Mirage EP begins with its title cut; enveloping the listener is a swathe of atmospheric synth and pad work from the off. Oscillating frequencies complement the sultry rhythms while a life-affirming riff forms the stirring centrepiece. 
On the flip ‘Northern Lights’ is a sensitive, emotive composition
which gradually increases its emotional impact as it builds and evolves.

Leading electronic producers and composers Anyma (from Tale Of Us) and Chris Avantgarde join forces to create a new collaboration “Consciousness”. 

Anyma’s first vocal single of 2022 follows  his widely celebrated, Kate Bush inspired single “Running,” which has  been a cross genre staple within electronic music since its release back in late 2021.

By combining Anyma’s dominant synthesisers and Chris Avantgarde’s scoring talents the track balances an eerie robotic vocal, detailing the  definition of consciousness itself - atop frenetic drums and robust synths. Anyma has been busy touring as one half of the esteemed techno duo Tale Of Us, where “Consciousness” has become the opening track that sets the vivid scene that Anyma and Tale Of Us are known for. Anyma will continue to tour extensively this year with a residency at Ibiza’s famed super-club Hï, with countless global appearances this summer such as EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, and many more.

Next up in the series we have The Vision Reels. 

The Vision Reels has produced a few exceptional ambient records over the last couple years on Re:st, Kizen Records and his own Captured Visions. We are definitely looking forward to future releases from the producer. 

The mix is a live recording taken from the Unknown Species boat party back in July and presents a diverse range of ambient and downtempo/idm, including some unreleased tracks.

Sacred Soundscapes: Kumbh Mela – At the Juna Akhara Encampment

Put on your headphones (please, really, this is a binaural recording), close your eyes and be transported to the magical world of the Kumbh Mela. We are walking through the Juna Akhara section passed the tents in which different Sadhus (renunciates) sit by their fires (dhunis). Some are naked, smeared with ash. Some are covered in Rudrasha (a sacred seed), some are performing feats of asceticism – one man is holding his arm aloft for years, while another has vowed not to sit or lie down for another 4 years (1 year completed). There is a buzz in the air as sightseers mingle amongst the sadhus. We pass the camp of Rudraksha baba who is trying, with difficulty to teach a foreigner how to say Om Namo Narayan (which means hello, goodbye, good morning, good night, please, thank you and just about anything else in between). Moving on we pass the camp of a set of newly initiated women who will sing Om Namah Sivaya all through the night (no, I didn’t get much sleep). Then we come across the most fantasically outfitted set of musicians (pictured) who would go from camp to camp singing praises not only to God but to the Rajas and Maharajas seated at their dhunis. Enjoy the experience.

Kumbh Mela Juna Akhara

Put on your best headphones and be transported into a different world. This is a binaural recording which will only be heard properly with headphones. Recorded at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan, India. Above the hustle and bustle of one of the most popular Sufi shrines in India, ancient calls electrify the air over amped up tanoys. At the evening's end Qawwali musicians sing devotionally to the spirit of the saint in the now closed shrine.
