Hi everyone 🤍 I just wanted to say sorry for going quiet these past few months. I’ve had to move back to the UK to take care of my mum, who now needs 24/7 support, and it’s taken over my days, my energy, and my headspace too. Any time I do get to myself I’m usually completely wiped out, and I also don’t have access to most of my equipment right now, so creating has been very limited.

I’m especially sorry to anyone who’s messaged me and hasn’t had a reply, it’s not a lack of care, just feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything at the moment. I truly appreciate the patience, kindness, and continued support more than I can put into words. I’ll be back when I can, moving slowly, doing the best I can. Thank you for understanding 💜

Hi, I’m Krissie 💜 I have high functioning autism, which I proudly call a gift, though sometimes it drags me into beautifully bonkers territory. I played saxophone for over ten years (seriously, I could wail).. until I got ill and my arms went on strike. But music? It stuck around. So now I do what I can, I write, engineer, and produce my own songs, shaping them with whatever magic I’ve got left, plus a few emotional plot twists. All my life, I’ve had to hide who and what I am. I’ve never been what the world calls “normal.” As I say in 'I Don’t Write Songs "I Survive"', my brain just isn’t wired the way it should be. I’ve been called weird, not right in the head, bonkers, even crazy. So I learned to mask, to shrink, to pretend. But here.. here, I get to breathe. To be.

And it’s not just the music. It’s the comments, the replies, the strange and sparkling conversations where I finally feel like I don’t have to filter myself. I can be full volume, full chaos, full heart, and somehow, that’s not just accepted, it’s welcomed.

You beautiful humans (and possibly aliens) have given me something I never thought I’d find, a place to be fully myself. To speak how I feel, to show what I see, and to turn it all into sound and words without shame. The way you’ve welcomed me, supported me, seen me, there are no words. (Yes, I know. Me. i jump between genres depending on my current mood, so don't wonder if you find some different and weird tunes 😂

I don’t work with AI.
For me, every track has to grow through its own process, and that simply takes time. That’s where my soul flows into the music. If I spend three hours working on a break that’s only three seconds long in the track and hardly anyone but me notices it, the energy of those three hours still flows into it on a subtle level. No AI can do that.

That doesn’t mean my songs are better or more sophisticated – I’d rather you form your own opinion.
As for vocals, I have to rely on loops, since illness keeps me from singing myself. Often, I discover a vocal line first and build the song around it. This means I sometimes have to compromise on the lyrics, so they don’t always mirror my personal outlook, mode of expression or poetry. Still, it’s important to me to share this truth.

I come from a musical family and was introduced to different instruments at an early age. The one that stuck with me were the drums. Various bands, gigs in small clubs. Even though, for lack of time, I didn’t actively make music for many years, music has always been one of the few constants in a turbulent life.

For the past few years, I’ve been seriously ill and slowly but surely on the home stretch. Since I can no longer play drums (I’m connected to a ventilator 24/7)
i started working with a DAW in 2024. It has become an important part of my life, my way of still creating something when my hands no longer can.

Here on SC there are so incredibly many amazing artists and people from all parts of the world … for me, it’s my universe. And the certainty that something is always possible, no matter how bad things get.
