El tema avanza como un mecanismo exacto: bombo con pegada, ghost-notes que muerden el groove y un break que despeja el aire antes de lanzar un drop limpio y contundente. Part of Amsterdam's new fresh faced school of techno and already affiliated with Rush Hour, Dekmantel, Tape Records, Voyage Direct – it's Interstellar Funk. His latest undertaking and his first on the Rush Hour label, Electric Park Square, brings six tracks of mystical machine sounds that revel in their sensibility. It's essentially computer music with a soul. "Cable 54" opens the EP with a retrospective take on early Detroit techno. Interstellar Funk crafts squelchy, acid-inflected patterns on the 303 and mysterious synth melodies on a track that could blend in virtually unnoticed on one of Cybotron's first releases from the early eighties.

Paradise Palms presents a brand new EP from Edinburgh-based musician John Bryden aka Eyes Of Others. Gloomy but with a luminous edge, Stimulus sees Bryden creating dark, chugging moods driven by an ensemble of drum machine loops and a broken Yamaha CS01 - elevated by introspective lyrics, haunting vocals and a baggy pop quality. 

Counting Andrew Weatherall, Geoffrey Mugwump and Sordid Sound System amongst his fans, Bryden’s track ‘Like It When It’s Lazy’ also caught the ear of electronic pioneer Das Ding (Minimal Wave, Pinkman) who has contributed a tense and sinister 7 minute remix to the EP. 

‘Stimulus’ is available digitally on 10th November and will be distributed by EPM. The record was mastered by Sam Smith at Green Door Studios in Glasgow.

Following releases this year on XXX and Nein, Italian duo Younger Than Me now make their debut on Jennifer Cardini and Noura Labbani’s Dischi Autunno with an outstanding, explorative, yet inherently (and beautifully) 90s-feeling five-track EP.
Three originals, two remixes: ‘Mind Hunter’ leads the cosmic charge, ploughing us beyond the known universe on a ship of acid and pulsating warm analog synths. ‘Feeling Breath’ takes us even deeper into electronica’s most formative decade with an uptempo thrust, more acid and wry elements of trance before ‘Sewer Rat’ takes us deep underground with much more of a percussive techno twist. 
Remix-wise Jennifer has recruited the perfect complementary artists: Acid Junkies (who made the first record she ever learnt to DJ with back in 94) flip ‘Sewer Rat’ into an almighty acid juggernaut while Shan once again reminds us why he’s the master of modern rave a stunning eight-minute, break-based twist on ‘Feeling Breath’.
