The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Brutalismus 3000. One of our favorite Berlin projects returns with a new track on the upcoming DURCH v/a compilation: Solidarity 002 - A Love Letter To The Queer Community. DURCH is a queer collective with a clear vision of solidarity and community building. DURCH operates in Tel Aviv and Berlin trying to bring queer people together, building a culture of inclusion, diversity and tolerance. In the tradition of original raves DURCH organizes solidarity events ranging from parties, to art and community events, with the strong belief that raves are a much needed place for people to come together, celebrate their diversity and learn to respect each other.

After releasing their first v/a earlier in the year, The are back with their second solidarity release of the year: Bolder, queerer and definitely more fun than ever. Take a bit of everything, mix it together and then burn it all down. Building on our previous release DURCH [digital] Solidarity 002 features some well established artists alongside some exciting, well-kept secrets of the electronic dance music scene. You’re in for a bumpy ride and a couple of pretty nasty surprises on the way. Today we bring you the nu gabber post techno punk of "Satan Was a BabyBoomer". 

As always, the proceeds from the release go to Queer causes and this release will benefit TransInterQueer e.V. (TrIQ) and Casa Kuà. Out on April 16th and you can get yours on BANDCAMP.

“Chobi,” the second single from Syrian musician Omar Souleyman’s upcoming album, 'To Syria, With Love' is available worldwide.

 The basis for the song is a sincere homesickness for Souleyman’s Al-Jazira (his native region in north eastern Syria), as an English translation of the lyrics demonstrates, “When will our alienation end so we can go back home? We miss gathering together under the shade of our tree. The soul is tormented by our longing...”

Crackboy returns to I’m a Cliché for a second EP with the label. Crackboy, the mysterious and anynomous beat junkie, so skilled at blending timeless hyper dirty sounds, for the first time has made room for original vocals. He presents three new killer tracks.

1. First track “Apes” is a sexy house song made for taking one’s shirt off on the dancefloor. Vocals are sung by a previous member of the band Haussmann, Claude Violante, now colabrorating with Crackboy for her solo projects.

2. On the second “User”, a sampled ghettoish speech with aggressive claps and ecstatic chords leads to climax halfway through. “The fucking monkeys are coming”, says the guy. Picture them on the dancefloor, now.

3. The closing track “Kiddo” is all about muscled acid and soundsystems being given a rough time.

The second EP on the Berlin-based @OXYORANGE label is an comes from Milan's @rapala700 called 'BAROTRAUMA', backed with remixes from @iamquestionmarc, @kuthijin + @voronhil, and @aironkolarow.

OXYORANGE founder Airon Kolarow's remix of 'depTH' closes out the record. He transforms the sinister and abrasive original with sounds that hit upon atmospheric bliss while still retaining a gritty edge.

An addendum of sorts to his recent 'Faint Hearted' album, Miles' returns with a half-hour EP more squarely aimed at the floor with four darkened, robust variants. 'Blatant Statement' is up first, slowly emerging from a rough alignment of metallic percussion and abrasive stabs not a million miles removed from the kind of racket you'd most likely associate with Vatican Shadow, before the almost-clipped rub of those super-warm bass stabs shifts the perspective to a different kind of environment altogether. 'Technocracy' delivers an oozing House deconstruction, slowed down and inebriated, while 'Infinite Jest' revolves around an industrial cacophony harnessed into a rhythmic anomaly situated somewhere between a technofied Pete Swanson and a sweaty Kassem Mosse. 'Plutocracy' ends the set with a bleached-out warehouse chug, slowed down and menacing, surrounded by a submerged choral arrangement and more of that toughened hammered-metal sound that runs through the EP.
