I'd like to preface: Listen to this using the music video on YouTube. It makes the experience more immersive and also has lyrics. It gave this song a particular energy that made me instantly fall in love with this. Now, as for the actual track. It has a short run time that hits right under 2 minutes, clocking in at 1:55. For how short it is, it gets a LOT done. Honestly feels like a journey despite the time frame. Each part, intro to first lead to breakdown and so forth, feels so distinct and cohesive as it develops from one section to the next. The track effectively moves from one point to the next like a story, and in unnaturally quick succession. I like how the 2nd drop is a bright and sharp contrast in dynamic to the first section; in my opinion, it propels the energy of the track forward and is the key factor to the overall progression. ESPECIALLY that snare. Love that. (1/3)

Other elements of the song I like: The first breakdown where the chorus comes in. That part I am obsessed with right now (and the Pokémon chime right before the 2nd drop enters, which I think is a fun touch). vai has always had a touch for powerful lyrics based on the theme of romance or unrequited love; it hits every damn time (refer to her album "there is a you that remains"). Oh, I wanna mention that the particular timbre her voice has (though processed) is so different from other vocalists I've heard, which makes her uniquely memorable. Additionally, the introduced melody hook in the intro, which is echoed in partial form throughout the track until the outro of where it is restated in full form, feels like it's wrapping the track up. When the bitcrush automation comes in, it gives the track the perfect segue to loop into itself and start again. Because of that, I've been looping this for 2 hours. (2/3)

All in all, SUPER good track that is fortunate to make the most of its (in my opinion) too short run time. It is tastefully dynamic, smooth, heartfelt, and powerful in all ways. A lot to offer in ways I could not predict. Congrats on the compilation release! Made one of my favorite tracks this year you two. Thanks for making good shit. One of my top tracks this year and is **going into my top playlist** (3/3)
