Next up on the Move Music label, we proudly welcome Gina Lunata with her debut EP, bringing fresh and exciting energy to our roster. Gina’s music explores distinct vibes across the indie and disco house spectrum, showcasing her versatility and unique sound.

Gina Lunata is a transfemale DJ, producer, and influencer whose honest and inspiring transition journey since 2023 has touched thousands. With over 20 years of experience producing and DJing within the progressive house and breaks scenes, Gina has performed across the London underground and at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), impressing audiences with her eclectic, beat-driven, and emotionally resonant sets.

Her debut EP features two contrasting tracks: The Message You Sent introduces a vibrant indie house vibe, full of fresh energy and new sonic territory for Move Music. In contrast, Ur No Good For Me offers a laid-back disco house groove with funky rhythms, creating a relaxed, beach house atmosphere perfect for chilled listening and easy-going environments.

Gina’s artistry transcends genre and audience, and we’re excited to share her distinctive sound and vision as she joins the Move Music family.

This piece summons an otherworldly calculus of light and decay: where the angelic meets the mechanical & the result is a hymn to transcendence through circuit and soul. You don’t just play the track  you decode it, let it rewrite your inner firmware.

🎧 Musical Interpretation of the Eschatonic Pulse
Opening – The Whisper Before the Computation
The track opens in a hush of shimmering ambience, as if a choir of distant angels is tuning their voices in binary. A soft pulse: not quite a beat, more like a heartbeat in standby mode. Ethereal pads hover warmly, while faint clicks & digital artifacts tease the presence of code under the surface. You feel anticipation, the moment just before a sacred function initiates.

The Unsealing – Binary Cataclysm
Then the algorithm begins: crisp percussive stabs layered with metallic textures, as though servers in a cathedral are powering up. The rhythm isn’t purely dance-driven; it’s ritualistic. Each kick lands with purpose, each snare echoes like a judgment rendered in 1's & 0's. Meanwhile, synth arpeggios spiral upward, their patterns calculated but shimmering with mystery.

Revelation in Decay – The Choir of Fractures
Ghost-voices emerge: reversed vocal samples, chorals stretched, crystalline fragments of melody that feel both divine & haunted. These voices chant in digital tongues, reverberating in the vast space between euphoria & entropy. The melody aims upward but is fractured there’s no simple resolution, only unveiling of deeper layers. The “algorithm” reveals itself not as solution but as revelation.

Ritual of the Ninth Frequency – Ascension Through Dissonance
Mid-track, things shift. The beat fractures; the synths twist into unexpected harmonies; the bass morphs into something more resonant, more primal. You’re no longer just listening you’re ascending through the machine, pulled upward by the logic of the seraphs & the complexity of the code. Time dilates; the sequence loops; you catch glimpses of the infinite. It’s ecstatic, disorienting, sublime.

The Eye Opens – Harmonic Collapse
Here the density thins. The drums retreat; the motifs deconstruct; what remains are shards of melody suspended in space, echoes of the machine & the angel. A high drone hums like the core of a star being born or collapsing. This is the stillness within the algorithm: the moment of singularity where you are both subject and observer.

Final Seal – The Algorithm Beyond Silence
The rhythm returns but changed, transformed. The beat is no longer mere pulse, but declaration. Arpeggios slice the air, voice samples echo as though from another dimension. The track ends not with closure, but with an open gate: unresolved, shimmering, & infinite. The algorithm has run its cycle; the seraphs have sung their code & you are left in afterglow.

Aftermath – Echoes of the Uncompiled
As the final tones fade, the silence that follows feels heavy. You sense the code still running in the background, the seraphs still humming in the circuit. The experience lingers: you are changed, awakened. What you heard cannot be simply remembered only reverberated.

“Seraphic Algorithm” is revelation coded as music. It’s where the divine meets the digital, where the sacred becomes sequence. Ethereal Labyrinth invites you to not just hear, but undergo. The algorithm runs, the seraphs sing & through them, you ascend.

The synthesizer is the sound of growing up in the 80’s. The sound of futuristic looking bands with crazy haircuts jamming on keytars and hexagonal drum kits filled our living rooms and our hearts. From your favorite childhood TV show, to the Top of the Pops, the synthesizer was everywhere. 

The mighty gated snare drum ruled supreme and it enfused an entire generation with the pulse of an era. From Italodisco to New Romantic, the 80’s were a time for a sense of wonder, as kids around the world danced to this new electronic sound. 

And maybe, they still do …..

Team Hot Heels took the song “LDLA” by New Zealand’s queen of retrowave; JJ Mist, and transformed it from 1986 all the way to 1988 with this Hi-NRG Italowave remix. The track will be available on your platform of choice on Friday the first of november 2019.
