Jauzas the Shining is a creative force whose output has greatly impacted electro music and beyond. The French producer's abundant discography includes releases on prominent labels such as Transient Force, New Flesh, Shipwrec and brokntoys, and timeless collaborations with Heinrich Mueller (aka Gerald Donald) and the late Victoria Lukas <3. Recent output includes a limited cassette mini-album, 'Inbetween Days,' featuring a remix by quadratschulz on Label in Disarray. For NI's 44th mix, we are honored to highlight an original live set by Jauzas the Shining.

We're happy to welcome back LA-based producer Ole Mic Odd, this time with a full EP that crashes electro traditions into gloomy post-punk aesthetics. The result is six filthy tunes of menacing vocoders, murky pads and distorted acid that go from 2 AM clinched-teeth-madness to punishing slow burners that will bump a 64 Pontiac Lowrider.

Michael Padgett is a West Coast hardware electro wizard who runs The New U.S. Government (label) and has released lots of funky electro dirt on labels such as Kraftjerkz, Zement and Source Material. He returns to Kri Records after contributing to our compilation Trust the Rust Vol.1.

Gimme A Break delve into new sonic territories through the first release on their sub-label Aspect, an outlet for Electro, Prog House, Trance and Techno. ASPCT001 sees Berlin-based LUZ1E navigate mental health and healing at the sonic intersection of Detroit, Chicago, New York and the UK. With previous releases on Voitax, International Chrome and Mechatronica, LUZ1E’s “Cerulean” EP cements her place as a pioneer of Electro retrofuturism. 

“Cerulean” takes its inspiration from the very hue that has ingrained itself as one of the symbolic images of LUZ1E’s work – a particular nuance of blue. It emanates a synchrony of sentiments: clarity, optimism, and calm, juxtaposed against the backdrop of detachment and despair that accompanied the artist throughout the past year.

Manifested in a dichotomy, the Ultramarine A-Side delves into the labyrinth of one's own mental health. It casts a luminescence upon a profound struggle marked by inner discord, turmoil, and the swift currents of overwhelm and emotional detachment. The tracks' fast pace and sombre energy pick up on this, translating phases of introspection and intense inner conflict into a sonorous narrative.

The Cerulean B-Side breathes the ambiance of a crystalline winter day, bathed in ease and tranquillity, constructing a bridge to an inward journey where in a quiet and soft space healing can take place. The tracks, suffused with both hope and melancholy, radiate a sense of peace, calm, and lucidity, contrasting the tumultuous phases of ebb and flow and the sensation of feeling lost. What persists is a mere feeling of peace with the perpetual motion of life itself.

Redance is a DJ/Producer, based in New Orleans. Born in Venezuela w/ Chilean roots, Redance's family Immigrated to South Florida when he was 8. It was in this tropical playground where at the tender age of 11, he found his way onto the dancefloor of "Visions Nightclub" and has never looked back. Raised by the bubbling & diverse, underground club community of Miami & Ft. Lauderdale, Redance developed his love of thundering low end, soulful acapellas and experimental grooves. It is this sound that has guided his craft, and lifelong passion for creating hot & sultry dancefloors.
