we landed somewhere in the Galapagos
or one of a hundred ancient archipelagos
wearin my adventurer's pants and petticoat
stranded on some part of the map that I don't know


Tai and I eye the beach line down to the jungle
better we figure out shelter before we encounter trouble
but no sooner said then we hear a clock tick
a giant croc big as a rock cliff lickin his chops, QUICK!


we double time it as the crocodile pursues
we lose the croc but find ourselves equally lost too
we peer out the underbrush and spot a temple
we hear the clock tick behind and decide to enter


A stone head the size of stonehenge
opens its mouth to speak and says "I am Olmec"
"Treasure and danger lurk behind these doors
but beware the temple guards and the spirits of yore."


We traverse the cavernous recesses
when an aberrant presence disturbs the quiescence
a palored man, deformed by savage lands
introduces himself to us as Caliban


"You must've ship wrecked in the Tempest
I serve this island, may I guide you post hence?"
We say ok then we away down the corridor
with lighted torches, when we suddenly strike a fork


Caliban says "this way" when I spot something suspicious
a shadowy figure lurking off in the distance
I nudge Tai like time to say goodby
and jettison in the other direction with no question


we rush the twists and turns and catch light to the left of us
runnin top speed right to the edge of a precipice
we're overlooking a view of the whole island
and see all sorts of beautiful places we may die in


A giant sky scrape sized ape roams the valley
an evil black smoke rolls through the trees
a tribe of abandoned children are gathered
and two fire breathing bulls are guarding a golden fleece


We retreat the dead end with Caliban in pursuit
and he's joined by a demon lady with red wings to boot
we race out the temple as our foes are upon us then
tic tock, the giant croc rears up and swallows them

We went to Mile 0 Beach and the local petting zoo with a zoom recorder.


The "kick drum" is us kicking a 5 Gallon drum we found on the beach, detuned

The "hi hats" are clam and oyster shells we found and clicked together

The "rim shots" are sticks we found on the beach and smacked together

The Beach noise is recorded directly from the Pacific Ocean

The Campfire noise came from Klopps backyard
The Tape click is my old Sony Walkman starting and stopping the first mixtape my hiphop group was ever on

The Goat, Peacock, and Zebu noises are from the Beacon Hill petting farm
