To rectify atrocities that pile the bodies on my lonely shoulders (so small)
Kill to stand righteous above the misplaced sins of my holy father (so small)
Every bump on the grip, every click of the hammer’s backward trip, with smoky scent of gunpowder
Every inch of the blade, spilled innocence stained on my face, but my aim can’t falter
Please tell me I did some good, ‘cause this failure doesn’t feel like honor


Hail to the warrior’s honor's benefactor, the good ol’ mighty dollar
Erase my face from the memory of the world when my use is up, I’m used to it, I do it enough

Recognition of the emancipation of completing fate’s equation should be met with jubilation, right?
Entertain the ideals of children, romanticize the silent answers from a war that wasn’t even my fight


Nail me to the cost, I birthed Eve as an empath to clear the path of salvation by my righteous wrath
All this sounding contradictory right? That’s how you sound pondering contracted victory’s plight
Ideals at a head, deals to get ahead, feels like you got me read, but my resolve is steeled so hard, my heart is dead (STOP)

Every action in reactive fashion plays into the chessboard I piecemealed with souls hanging from a buttstock’s mariannette 
Kids, women, men caught in my net form the mare free from the notion that I was sworn to protect
I don’t know how to save anyone, I can’t save anyone, soul and mind can never connect
Death directs the tragedy of honor’s scam, and front row, center, and alone, here I am


In the full moon's rise filling my sullen eyes
Life's just a crazy bag of marbles, I've come to realize 
Some marbles are rare, some are fun, some kidnap kiddy marbles for gifts
Some marbles cracked, some I shattered, some marbles reaped a death less swift
Or a marble is handicapped, strapped down with their family marbles kidnapped for bait
And you kill those marbles as a stop-gap as they watch their marble suffocate at the stake
Marble morality ain't binary, but the memory of these marbles just hurt me
All I wanted was to save every marble in front of me
