This month's playlist highlights Danny Daze, who, in addition to being an all around incredible musician and DJ, runs his own Omnidisc label which is quickly becoming quite the source for ethereal techno material.

For the first time ever, the International Library of African Music has been made available for artists to remix. Originally recorded by ethnomusicologist Hugh Tracey, 35,000 recordings were made across Africa between the 1920s and '70s. That alone was a staggering cultural achievement and, in tribute to Tracey's work and that of the artists he recorded, a raft of producers and artists have been brought in to reimagine the work for the Beating Heart - Malawi album (due June 3). Money raised from the project will go directly to helping the communities where the original recordings were made. Rudimental, Clap! Clap!, Kidnap Kid, Machinedrum, Luke Vibert and Throwing Shade have all contributed efforts but it was this version from My Nu Leng that piqued our interest. Taking an uplifting vocal chant, the duo build a devastating assault of low-end stabs and popping drums that explode violently across the track with each iteration. If you've ever caught My Nu Leng live, imagine that energy distilled into four minutes and 19 seconds.

Esten Club's third EP release comes from LA-based producer and DJ, KMRT. As heard on ECR001, ECR002, and now ECR003, there are a lot of talented techno artists on the rise in LA. You probably know KMRT from his past releases on BADLQQK, Main Course, Mähtrasher, and La Bombe. His new Combustion EP is made up of six groovy, dancefloor ready tracks which showcase the producer's ability to get a room moving. Atlanta up-and-coming producer Rayel Alexis is heard on remix duty of the title track which gives a sneak peek at what's to come from Esten Club in the near future.

Ossian, Perc and O/V/R have all turned in edits but we have the exclusive first spin of Randomer's remix of 'Back Alley Sally' and it's not for the faint-hearted. The tension and dread levels are high from early on until the track hits the minute and a half mark, then it explodes.

It's heavy, pulsating and it's exactly what we'd expect if man like Randomer took control of an Ansome track. Big.
