For the newest Animix, Thailand based DJ & producer @sunjuhargun has put together a beautiful downtempo trance exploration. Sunju co-curates @siamesetwinsrecords , an amazing label which focuses on trance-y, psychedelic sounds from Asian based artists. 

Sunju has a multitude of impressive releases under his name, as well as aliases Mogambo and Khun Fluff, and a plethora of beautiful mixes - which always seem to find the perfect balance between emotional and driving. Sunju has been a household name across the region for over a decade, playing spaced out music in forests, warehouses, and castles.

We are over the moon to share with you a very special chapter of our monthly Podcast Series ~ courtesy of the enigmatic Khun Fluff. This forty-minute journey comes in the form of a live set weaving together Khun’s output on Siamese Twins with a tease of unreleased material 🌚✨

Khun Fluff is a stuff of legends ~ a mysterious double-headed cat living in the high mountains of Northern Thailand. Born and raised in a temple surrounded only by nature, gongs, bells and chimes. We also heard rumours it might be one of the aliases of the stellar Thai DJ, musician and Siamese Twins label head Sunju Hargun. Could it be so? 🤫🐈

This wildly meditative live set is a mystical deep listening adventure ~ a solo hike through the Thai mountain ranges under the scorching Sun and accompanied by a heavy scent of temple incense. There is no telling what you might find on this journey but one thing is for certain ~ it will be an adventure rich in drones and whispers and tingling percussion 📿

This recording is from the first edition of L’Appuntamento, a series of open-air listening sessions initiated by Villa Lontana Records and Donato Dozzy in Rome. Each gathering pairs a vinyl set by Dozzy with a live electroacoustic performance by a new-generation artist.

In this first edition, held in the garden of Villa Lontana, Donato Dozzy opened the evening with a selection of minimal, folkloric, and acoustic-rooted records — setting the tone for Verde Prato’s live performance.

L’Appuntamento is an ongoing invitation to pause, tune in, and share time through listening.

I'll be my own mirror

One year on, I am so excited to share the recording of my set at Mo:Dem 2024, playing at The Seed stage 🌀💠🌀

My first experience of The Seed blew me away, opening new doorways in my mind and rewiring neural connections between genres and sonic sensations. Each stage at Modem @mo_dem is a universe of its own, and I felt completely at home at The Seed ~ a place for lucid dreaming and floating through the depths of space ✥

I played on Friday night from 11PM-2AM, slithering through subaquatic dubstep, spectral IDM, molten halftime and slinky psychedelic nighttime music of all shades ~

The set starts off propulsive, and as we descend into the night, the energy slowly evaporates, as The Seed shifts into a cocoon of pulsating luminescence for the late night hours. 

Thank you to @marcomental and @spekkiwebu for the invitation and inspiration. Returning to The Seed this year was equally special, it is now deeply nestled in my heart, and the recording of 2025’s set might also surface one day. But for now, I hope you enjoy this dive back to 2024 ~ three hours of psychedelic bass vibrations from the depths ✧｡⋆.

 ‘I want to give each sound the space it deserves to breathe’
Slow Moon is the solo project of Berlin/London based musician Tomáš Kašpar. After many years writing, releasing and performing as part of dancefloor focused duo ASTRYD and alongside Laura Misch on guitar and synth duties, These Things Take Time is his first solo release.
The process for this music began through conscious observation of the minute details of the everyday world; light dancing on water, the texture of a rusted sheet of metal, shadows of trees playing along a wall, the reflection from a pane of broken glass, ripples of raindrops in a puddle. In the slowing down, tuning into, and experiencing these details; a new process for exploring sound, presence and the writing music was teased out.

Space . Texture . Listening . Detail . Slowness

In exploring these ways of looking and, and listening to the world, taking steps back from the density of life I found a delicate and soothing way of relating to and creating sound. These Things Take Time is the result of several years experimenting and exploring writing with these ideas at the core. The album title is a reference to this process (and in part a joke to myself about how long it takes to finish and release music).
‘Listening softens us, and opens us to how much is really going on all the time. Being present to the immense, beautiful and infinite detail of the world around me is what led to this music.’
These Things Take Time is made up of 8 tracks ranging from delicate ambient synth work, to processed vocals soaring over textural rumbling drum grooves, to soft piano and clarinet explorations. It explores many palettes and energies but the connecting thread of ambient, slowly evolving detail and textural richness underpins this collection of work.

Hot seducers. Two of them. On one 7inch. A/B Side business, hard to choose a fav, as both so fab. The A-Side is called “Happen”. It comes from prolific Tokyo based DJ and producer Hoshina Anniversary. A simple drum machine groove, a manic melody, witching siren sounds, psychedelic voices, some soft chords, and soulful high-pitched singing, somewhere between Dam-Funk coolness and Ian Svenonius- The-Make-Up sixties pop longing. One for warm sexy nights under neon lights. Out there in psychic realms. The flip brings a Dolphins interpretation. Yes, that feverish trio behind R.i.O., consisting of Nadia D'Alò, Benedikt Frey and Menqui. Their freshly recorded version comes with haunting nonchalant singing, displaying the tunes core melody as a more prominent actor of the play. Michael-Mann-Pop- Nostalgia with a baroque touch, that waves dark-ish. Even some Jon Hassle feeling is in there. Hoshina Anniversary disclosed, that the original song is inspired by jazz musicians like Chet Baker, Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Jaco Pastorius and Keith Jarrett. None of them is directly stylistically audible. But their kind of blue is all over. On the A as well as on the B. Twice soul music for the free.
