The title track brings together their collective experience which detonates an explosive start to the new single. Step by step ‘Holographics’ build-up and grows more and more overbearing, with its zapping blasts and hypnotic stabs followed by thumping kicks, as the track progresses your caught up in its all-encompassing cut-throat sonics. It is a commanding cut and one which encapsulates what their collective collaboration represents on the dancefloor.

The depth of the forest was unknown to those who lived at its verge. Shadows cast from the dense canopy seemed to reach out towards those who passed close by, wisps of darkness unfurling and twisting around the limbs of the youngest that dared to play at its sinister edge. The oldest stories of its roots passed across the creaking voices of the town pensioners hunched in the safety of others, discretely whispered and shot through with fearful looks. The allure of that dense and ancient place stretched back eternal, and bitter consequence waited for those who breached its dark heart.  The crew ignored the nonsense of such crones, pulling the carts of equipment under the cover of dusk until the sounds of the town were but a memory. The speaker stacks were raised against the night, strings of lights hung between the trees and purity of disturbed bass rolled against the surrounding trunks as they disentangled themselves from the mundane fiber of the lives they left behind. Twisting against one another as they let flood serotonin delight, they ignited an orgy of sonic symbiosis as the rave found its wings and took flight. The spores drifted imperceptibly into the clearing from the darkness around, lodging without discomfort in the eyes, ears and noses of the gathered young. And then the screaming started, the undulating mass of the gathering turned inward… devouring itself as limbs were separated from bodies, necks ripped as skin tore loose and the blood flowed freely over the gnashing faces of those left alive at the KILL PARTY…

Whether it's hard techno, industrial hardcore or drum & bass, dance music producer The Clamps has stayed at the helm of its ever-growing scene. And having such a wide array of influences has helped him to become one of the most notorious players in the darkest realms, having already grown within the trenches of French label Kosen Production, a platform well known for pushing forward likeminded artists. Whether it's his collaborations with the likes of Nick Bee and Redject, or his standalone singles, he's been heralded by many as a pivotal art within the underground, which is why the announcement of his forthcoming album was met with great anticipation from across the market.

Already releasing on the likes Prolix's Trendkill, Invisible, Eatbrain, Titan and Impact Music, he's made his music felt throughout a wide range of imperative labels. The second part of his 'Odyssey LP' sampler packages comes in the form of both 'Looking for Trouble' featuring the notorious Nuklear MC and 'LHS 1140b', which highlight the LP's versatility whilst also engineering two darkly atmospheric cuts which pull you into the sound which The Clamps is renowned for.

If you're a frequent visitor of the international DJing circuit, you're sure to have heard the sampler's A-side 'Looking For Trouble'. It's a destructive call to arms, one which bares its sonic artillery but first rolls out on strung-out note patterns, a rolling soundscape and an intro which pulls you up an intimidating breakdown. As the track catapults into its first immersive plunge, you're taken for the ride and each constructed hook grabs at you with an intimidating snarl, alongside Nuklear's growling lyricism. 'LHS 1140b' is just as gripping but in its own way, with a heavily distorted bassline and crashing drum sequences which create an effortlessly driving single. This is a secondary sampler proving that The Clamps forthcoming album is a force to be reckoned with. It also pedestals the type of diversity which he's historically championed for, although this can only be expected from an artist who's devoted himself to his craft for such an expansive time frame.

It had long been said that the oceans were the last great frontier, that their depths held a wealth of secrets to be found and discoveries to be made. Foremost of all spoken of were the treasures that lay upon the ocean floor, relics of lost ages left by those who had fallen victim to the sea’s tempestuous ferocity held now within the stygian depths of its enormous body. There, far beneath the realm of humanity in places where even light dare not penetrate, such hoards lay open for the taking to those enterprising enough to delve the darkness. So went the fisherman’s tales and shipwrights stories, and indeed they held some truth. Yet unbeknownst to their tellers these tales were unfinished, for they lacked themselves the knowledge of what truly lay below.

Indeed, amongst the glimmering treasures of these unfathomable depths was something that shone even brighter, a glowing jewel of a luster and size unmatched by any other in the sea. Its presence was known only amongst the most wizened of mariners, whispered of only in hushed tones by their salt-scarred lips. It was said only to be seen on moonless nights adrift far from land, but it’s sight was feared by all who knew of it. Those who saw it were said to be overcome with greed, diving from their vessels in the pursuit of such a wondrous treasure never to be seen again. So ended the tales, for that was all they did know, yet far beneath the waves there was still more to show. Woe to the sailor who so dove to that fate, who knew not the horror that they would soon face. As they arrived at their treasure their pleasure became fear, for revealed was the presence of what truly lay here. A monstrous maw with razor sharp fangs and the face of a behemoth from which their treasure did hang. Trapped now in the darkness down so far below, the last light they saw was that beast’s POWER GLOW.

EATBRAIN mainstays AGRESSOR BUNX illuminate a set of four new tracks with their POWER GLOW EP, which follows their last EP Acid Mirage and recent singles on both Blackout and Bad Taste in continuing the duo’s high volume output of hard edged neurofunk. Spanning from the rolling basslines of IN DEEP to the overcharged rhythms of POWER GLOW and a collaboration with COPPA in the form of VICTORIOUS, POWER GLOW stands set to electrify the EATBRAIN horde with the AGRESSOR BUNX sound once more.

The fires of the NEUROPUNK FORGE alight once more with the arrival of the WARHEAD EP, the latest release from rising Russian duo DESPERSION on NEUROPUNK RECORDS. Established in 2017, the duo have seen previous releases on a variety of labels including Ignescent, 0101 and Kill Tomorrow, within which they have displayed their development of a style that blends complex melodic motifs with aggressive percussive and bassline sequences for a synthesis formed of these two often disparate sounds. Now making their NEUROPUNK RECORDS debut, DESPERSION deliver four tracks in this signature style to create the latest set of auditory weapons straight from the NEUROPUNK FORGE.

Opened by the minor chords and arpeggios of the title track of the same name, the WARHEAD EP quickly erupts with low end weight leavened by the interspersion of melodic reprisals of its opening theme. The deceptively named PEACE which follows provides a slice of scathing neurofunk marked by the tonalities of the distorted hornlike synth that blasts above its rapidly moving bassline. OFFENSIVE next delivers an explosive barrage of transient percussive impacts that fall with perfectly planned precision amongst the tracks chaotic upper atmosphere. Closing the EP is I NEED YOU NOW, which departs from the hard charging energy of its predecessors to deliver a flowing vocal cut emblematic of DESPERSION’s melodic abilities.

With the WARHEAD EP, DESPERSION deliver a dynamic debut on NEUROPUNK RECORDS, showing a deft ability to craft beautiful melodic sequences and works of utmost sonic aggression in equal measure, marking themselves as a duo to watch as they emerge from the NEUROPUNK FORGE.

Now over ten years deep in the game, decorated Slovakian drum and bass
veteran Trilo has amassed a loyal following thanks to his natural ability to juggle intricate melodies with unrelenting bassweight. Best known for his contributions to the neurofunk scene but equally comfortable producing myriad styles of D&B, the now Kraków-based producer’s vast back catalog spans prestigious labels including Renegade Hardware, Bad Taste, Eatbrain and Let It Roll. His most recent offering, 2019’s “Rush”, saw him collaborate with Bad Company UK legend Vegas. Now keen to explore his own musical identity rather than conforming to labels’ often rigid sonic requirements, Trilo has opted to self-release his music via his own label, Trilo Music.
First up on the label is the new single “Sion”, a barbed belter which opens with epic leads, cinematic pads and swirling FX before catapulting into a stunning climax dominated by gravelly basslines and vicious drums. A triumphant showcase of the signature style Trilo fans know and love, this serves as the first in an upcoming string of similarly heavy and technical releases on the label, set to be imminently released on a bi-monthly basis. In
the near future, however, expect Trilo Music to encompass a broader range of music across the D&B spectrum, including plenty of exciting collaborations with other titans of the scene.

After experiencing a breakthrough year in 2020 which saw them reach dizzying heights in the drum and bass scene with releases on RAM Records, Viper Recordings and Liquicity, Australian duo V O E are back on home turf with the new two-tracker “Sirens” / “The Darkness”, incoming via local label ProtoCode. Based in Adelaide and made up of two accomplished singer-producers, Tevlo and CARZi, V O E have carved a niche for themselves with their signature brand of vocal-led D&B, demonstrating a penchant for striking an expert balance between spellbinding cinematics and merciless bassweight. Typically saving their darkest and heaviest offerings for ProtoCode – as evidenced by their label debut, 2020’s “Where You Belong”, and their recent Alpha Cuts compilation contribution, a remix of Dead Zodiac’s “The Fall” – the pair have opted to showcase the two extremes of their sound on this latest drop. Centred around a hushed vocal from CARZi, “Sirens” means business from its introductory notes. Introduced with sprawling ambiances and tense, acid-esque modulated synth plucks, it suddenly breaks out into explosive, neuroleaning crescendos, pierced by unrelentingly jagged basslines and strident drums. With new twists around every corner including bellowing breaks and an exhilarating halftime switch-up, this aural juggernaut is one of the duo’s most ambitious productions yet. In stark contrast from its predecessor, the gritty but tangibly liquid-inspired roller “The Darkness” opens with gentle piano melodies and a sublime topline – once again provided by CARZi and showcasing her impressive vocal range – before bringing serrated synths and bubbling arpeggios into the mix. The result is a more commercial, yet simultaneously hard-hitting number, an apt reminder of the pair’s versatility right across the drum and bass spectrum. “Sirens” / “The Darkness” lands exclusively via Beatport on 19th March 2021, hitting other stores and streaming services a fortnight later on 2nd April.
