Lisa Linsky is a contemporary solo pianist and composer as well as a voting member of The Recording Academy. 

Her original heart-felt solo piano compositions are a form of “musical storytelling.” Lisa’s music is a regular favorite on iTunes, Pandora, YouTube and most music platforms. Lisa performs internationally, both publicly and privately. 

Lisa’s journey began with her birth at Queen of Angels hospital in The City of Angels. 

Lisa’s debut album, entitled "Sanctuary “ was awarded the prestigious Parents Choice Award for its calming effect on children.

Hold Me Close

Peruvian cellist and composer Fil Uno debuts on piano and coffee records with Suite Nipples, an enthralling collection of pieces for violoncello, recorded last September in Mexico City.

Suite Nipples, Fil Uno’s fourth album, was born in 2019 from pieces written for an audiovisual project commissioned by Lucy Hayes and inspired by the life of choreographer Gillian Lynne. The Peruvian musician, who is now based in Mexico’s capital, rediscovered the pieces during the second year of the pandemic. Between 2021 and 2022, he worked on them until they became his own and complemented them with even older compositions, from the days of his first album Violonchelo Solo.

If Violonchelo Solo focused on the listener-instrument relationship, incorporating the emotionality of a certain pop language, Suite Nipples starts from the «song» form and an affectionate lyricism.

Suite Nipples is about the body as a territory in common and not in dispute, and about eroticism as an act of resistance — nothing more contrary to war. Nowadays, nipples are symbolically a place of dispute: they are a common element between humans, however, a battlefield to exalt differences. Affections and emotions are common territory, but it is difficult for us to understand that others also experience joy and pain, hope and sorrow, which is why barbarism is possible.

In this fascinating time of exponential discovery, broken patterns and unlimited access to communication, differences are paradoxically exacerbated: racial, sexual, religious, economic, social. So, Suite Nipples is a common territory, a place without borders through which mammals nourish their newborns. It is also a point of intimate and necessary pleasure for all people, contrary to pain, loss and injustice.

The music of Suite Nipples collects the affective language of popular songs, which dictated the musical style when the cello was born in Italy in the 16th century, based on the theory of affects «degli affetti». The slogan was: the instruments have to sound like the voice, and the purpose of the voice is to move the affections.

Suite Nipples releases on the 17th of May, digitally and on limited edition vinyl, with photography and art direction by Janice Bryson and graphic design by Blanco studio.

"Winds" opens with a haunting melody that floats through a landscape of echoes and unusual spaces. The song soon unfolds into arpeggiated electric guitar chords that gently waver, creating a shifting foundation. 

A pan flute weaves its melody over the guitar, its notes transformed by flangers and effects into a constantly morphing soundscape. A girl's voice enters, carrying a melody that leads into an electric guitar solo, rich with a sense of yearning. 

The piece closes with an intimate exchange between the girl's voice and the guitar, their melodies intertwining in delicate dialogue.
