I absolutely loved this perspective and had to include the line as a lyric; this spark inspired the song and its direction. Echoing those late night wonderings when the mind is overactive I use insomnia as an acronym in the chorus to ponder if people are asleep in life and need to be inspired to wake up and really live? My hope in both the music and lyrics is to capture the restlessness, fatigue and high energy of insomnia.”

Close to my heart is raising awareness of the chronically painful genetic connective tissue disorder HEDS (Hyper-Mobility Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) to encourage recognition and a deeper understanding of the condition; that no two people with HEDS are identical and live with different symptoms, types and experiences.
