Heist Recordings was founded by Dam Swindle as a means to gain full control over their own releases, and to create a stage for likeminded musicians to showcase their music. From the first release on, Dam Swindle’s “Break up to make up” EP in summer 2013, Heist has been a go to label for proper underground house and electronic music. Now, nearly 40 releases and 5 compilations in, Heist has brought forward artists like Frits Wentink, Nebraska, Adesse Versions, Fouk, Kassian, Nachtbraker and Alma Negra and continues to search for new talent, with Lars & Maarten fully focused on the A&R side of the label. 

Up till 2016, remixes on the label have been solely done by other original Heist artists on the yearly “Round up EP”, where the remixer and remixee get connected by the luck of the draw and a limited edition double pack is put out. After that, Maarten and Lars decided it was time to add remixers to the EP’s as well, which saw interesting collaboration, expanded the label family with names like Matthew Herbert, Tom Noble, Pépé Bradock, Ge-ology and Byron the Aquarius. 

In 2023 we've celebrated 10 years of Heist Recordings. The year showed a whole batch of releases by new artists like Byron the Aquarius, Amy Dabbs and Cinthie and by Dam Swindle themselves.

"Bowsie" who are also well known as Full Funktion based in Dublin, Ireland. Scott Curtis & Raymond o Connor have been creating their own twisted take on house and techno for the last 15 years. Over the years they have been honored to have their music remixed by Filthy Rich, Phunk Investigation, Filterheadz, and Steve Mulder. Their track Ducati on Umek's 1605 label went straight to no 1 on track it down and hit the top 30 on Beatport. This release was heavily supported by 1605 head man Umek. After this, they released an EP on Kevin Saunderson's KMS Records and a 2 track ep on Spektre's Label Respekt Recordings. Another one to mention is their massive release "Esperanza" on Flashmob Records.
After their releases on Flashmob, KMS, Respekt and 1605. Things really picked up with heavy rotation on BBC Radio 1 and Eats Everything supporting a lot of their tracks around the world. At this point, Full Funktion was fastly getting known for techno so the guys decided to create a second alias for their less tough sound. Bowsie was now born, with releases on Traum, Baroque, Mirabilis, BeLove, Decide, PPMusic and of course the massive hit La Sirena which was out on Flashmob Records.

This label has had some massive names on it such as Charlotte de Witte, Timo Maas, Joel Mull, Sasha Carassi, Tim Green, Rudosa, D-Nox & Beckers, and the list does on & on. They will also make their debut on the amazing Déepalma Records again a label that has released tracks from some savage artists like Ben Delay, David Penn, Maya Jane Coles, Tube & Berger, Eelke Kleijn, Purple Disco Machine, Sidney Charles, Steve Lawler, Josh Butler, Franky Rizardo, Full Intention, and Camelphat.  Finally, the guys plan to make a return to their good friend Flashmob's label this time on his exclusive Flashmob LTD. "REOSC'" also holds a radio show residency at the one and only 313.fm Detroit.
