"Oy da ne vecher" (also referred to as "Stepan Razin's Dream") is a folk song of the Russian Cossacks. The song probably refers to the Cossacks' camp on the islands of the Caspian Sea.

After the harrowing collapse (Demise) and the stark realization of utter isolation (Lost), a musical lament begins to unfold. Tears pour forth— for the loss of all that was familiar: life, hope, the rhythm of what once was.
The English horn leads the orchestra through a descent into despair, guiding it gently, relentlessly, to the edge of desolation.
This piece ends not with silence, but with one final, desperate cry— a powerful minor chord, resonating with the weight of sorrow.
