The Universal Dance

In the heart of the world, a circle spins
A dance of light where goodness begins
Each act of kindness, a seed that’s sown
In fertile hearts, its roots are grown

A smile begets a hand to lend,
A spark of hope, a wound to mend
From giver to receiver, the circle twirls
A gentle force that heals and unfurls

In the weave of time, a thread so bright

A New World Dawns

In streets once familiar, now strange and new
Ancient rhythms fade, replaced by a bolder hue
The land I knew, with traditions deep and strong
Slowly dissolves into a discordant song
Faces once mirrored mine, shared stories now untold
Amidst this sea of strangers, and cultures manifold

Our customs and values, once firmly in place
Blur and shift, leaving barely a trace
Languages mingle, accents collide
The essence of home seems to subside
In this tidal wave of change and flux
I search for anchors, familiar crux, familiar crux

A new world dawns, equally bright

Yet in this loss, a bittersweet truth emerges
As cultures blend and humanity surges
Though the country I once knew may fade from sight

Like a soft summer breeze...

In the whispering woods where shadows play,
A boy walks alone, night turns to day.
Warm tree roots as his friends, and stars as his guides,
Learns from the silence, where secrets abide.

With every fallen leaf, a story unfolds,
Of dreams intertwined and awakenings bold
As he dances with shadows, and sings with the trees,
He learns to be free, like a soft summer breeze

The Oldest Nightmare

Now that the world is definitively in the hands of genocidal murderers intent only on wiping out humanity, it's time to connect with people and fight this pandemic of hatred and intolerance. I don't know how we're going to do it yet, but it's necessary to wake up from the nightmare they want to plunge us into. We need much more than a survival kit; we need to regain our consciousness.

Ahora que definitivamente el mundo está en manos de asesinos genocidas que solo pretenden acabar con la humanidad, es hora de conectar con la gente y luchar contra esta pandemia de odio e intolerancia. Aún no se como lo vamos a hacer, pero es necesario despertar de la pesadilla en la que nos quieren sumergir. Necesitamos mucho más que un kit de supervivencia, necesitamos recuperar la conciencia.

Another somewhat freeform piece, with me just playing about with various vst's and seeing where things go.  Started with a short piano phrase and went from there.
All midi work in the piano roll as usual.

Through The Fog - Nick Harris 2016

A full time, freelance children's book illustrator, introduced to Magix music making software in January 2014.  Haven't been near music production since school about a hundred years ago.  Can't play a note, and sing like a drain unblocking - Hence any music I may eventually have the nerve to upload is all created using midi/vst instruments playing compositions created in the piano roll editor.   The Magix forum dedicated to music production is the only place to suffer my creations so far.  Didn't realise it could be so much fun though.  Woohoo.
