For the 8th episode of our Sound Avenue Mixed series we’ve invited label resident Jayden Klight. The US artist made his first appearance on the Belgian imprint in September of 2020 with a remix of ‘Pattern Lock’ by Madloch and Subnode, a project which would lead to the release of ‘Click’ EP the following year and two subsequent remixes across a creative twelve-month stretch. With key projects via Dream Culture, Proton Music and Seven Villas also highlighting his resume, Jayden finds his way back to Sound Avenue earlier this year with a timeless take on ‘Feathered Serpent’ from Jean Caillou.

Sound Avenue Mixed 008 - Jayden Klight

Liz got into dance music in the early 90’s listening to house music and early rave music. Her exposure to clubbing happened in 1993 and from that point onwards her love for the scene began. She went to house music clubs but for most of the 90’s was heavily into the rave scene, travelling around the UK going to both legal and illegal raves. Around the same time she started collecting vinyl and had many DJ friends but didn’t properly get behind the decks until the 00’s playing predominantly progressive house, being influenced by the various renaissance and global underground compilations that came out throughout the decade of 00’s.

Regrettably, sold her Technics, thankfully not her vinyl, around 2009. However, during the first wave of covid, She realised just how much she missed her decks so decided to buy some more turntables in 2021, and more recently a digital set up too.

She is a vinyl and digital DJ with online residencies at Organic Deep House Radio and balearic fm, playing predominantly progressive house but also mix things up with some electro/ funky house, breaks and club classics.

Since childhood, RGN (Juliano Rigon) was influenced by electronic music and over time, his tastes and references gradually improved.

British-born DJ/producer Nick Newman has established himself as one of the most original and deeply-textured artists in the electronic music scene. Newman’s music, characterized by its warm meditative quality and ethereal soundscapes, has made its way onto industry-leading labels such as Armadillo Records, Seven Villas, The Soundgarden, Sudbeat Music, Manual Music, and Stripped Recordings. His sound has also garnered support from the world’s most influential progressive house DJ’s such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Nick Warren, Gai Barone, Pablo Bolivar, Kora, John Fleming, Solid Stone, Nicolas Rada, Nick Varon, and more. Equally as impressive, Newman began his career as a DJ at age 14.
