1934..rumbling round the Riviera with my rumbustious rabscallion jazz ravers. Tended to favour matinée performances, leaving the nights free for freeform experimentation into the long-term effects of toxifying agents on the human condition. 

One of our troupe, Dmitry, hailed from Minsk, Belarus. A talented flautist,  he had to give up after a fairground curse left him with a continually dripping nose. Untended, he would have mucus from chest to toenail in seconds. A beaker secured rather painfully to his top lip gave him some respite. 

In concert, he found a niche by standing on a large tin box, eyes fixed on the back of the hall and allowing his snozzle to drip with metronomic precision, thereby creating a not unpleasant percussive 'thwock' sound . Didn't miss a beat. Had to slop out in the interval of course. Later moved into heavy industry, lubricating machinery with his sniffer!

Bio
In 2007 at age 63 Montrealer Peter Wheeler bought his first guitar. He then went to amazon.com and purchased a book called “How To Play The Guitar for Dummies”. Since then he hasn’t looked back. 

Sometimes serious - sometimes humorous Wheeler’s music seeks to re-capture the Classic Vibes  from the 70’s & 80’s. To best describe his music imagine Bob Dylan & The Doors meet The Clash & Leonard Cohen at the Hotel California & share a bottle of wine with Tarantino. Peter Wheeler is a poet - focusing all his energies into creating musical canvases to express his personal vision of the world surrounding him. 

For several years Peter was part of the local bar scene in the Greater Montreal area.  He performed as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for The Rock Roulette Band. His experiences giving live performances and continually improving his guitar playing has truly shown that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

In 2020 Peter teamed up with Johnny Vienneau, a multi- talented musician and Producer from Montreal and recorded his first album of cover songs called "Self Portrait".  https://soundcloud.com/peter-wheeler/sets/self-portrait-1

Today Peter continues to pursue his passion for The Arts by doing portraits of friends, family and people he greatly admires. In 2021 he became a re-born again environmentalist and his songwriting is now focused on increasing awareness of the climatic challenge facing the planet.
