note by jo: for very real, material reasons, some people describe living entities as "stardust" and "all vibration". in our current, mentally largely dissociated state, it would make as much sense, though, to describe us as "stellar noise". It will take heartfulls of kindness and mindloads of understanding and nuances of acceptance of letting go and so much more to individually evolve into more harmonic states.

it is time, he said, to address the cosmic egg
the liquid consistency of what it holds
and the fact that insects and crusteceans
are clad in terrean space suits of their very own
and human skin can crack and bleed and peel and heal
and their minds are similar to that in more than one respect

that the very nature of awareness, sentience and connection
to the entities we cannot smell or touch in our tuesday state of mind

August 2025 Currently on residency in Italy ! 
These are 3 short sketches using field recordings captured around Montegiovi, Tuscany. With these little works I am experimenting freely with what can be produced from each days sounds -  manipulating them and stiching them back together with the aim of producing a long format work at the end of the residency. 
I am truly thankful for this opportunity that has been provided for me by the Salamanca Arts Centre in Tasmania and Cultivate Projects/La Baldi residency in Italy and The USA. 
And of course the wonderful people of Montegiovi ! 

Tuscany Experiments 1 - 3

This is something I did for Håkan's recent open collab. I have been experimenting with mixing in surround/binaural/etc, and his music is perfect for that, so I jumped on it. As far as me, I handled bass guitar, guitar and "production". Headphones (any old pair, this is stereo) are very highly recommended to get the full effect. Thanks, Håkan. A transmission from the threshold: Feedback From Heaven drifts through coldwave static and haunted resonance, echoing the ache of memory as signal. This instrumental descent conjures the feeling of a forgotten broadcast—half elegy, half invocation—where every reverb pulse feels like a message from the beyond. Recorded in the final days of August, this demo marks a quiet turning point in the Bleak Cathedral archive. No vocals, no closure—just the hum of something sacred trying to reach you.
