Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint welcomes Microlot back to the label for his second EP of the year ‘Far Blue’. Hailing from Australia, Luke Warren aka Mircolot has been a fixture of Australia’s electronic underground for the better part of a decade. Noted for his evocative textures, organic grooves and dubby rhythmic structures, Microlot's craft shines through vividly, making each one of his creations an absorbing experience. On the strength of releases for Pablo Bolivar’s Seven Villas, the Sydney resident made his Sound Avenue debut in 2021 with a remix of Madloch and Subnode’s ‘Utopia’, a project which would lead to a two-track showcase via label affiliate Crossfade Sounds in 2022. Now, making a welcome return to Sound Avenue, Microlot unveils the second of three sampler EP’s which will precede the release of his debut album due in November of this year.

Microlot - Kaleidoscope [Sound Avenue]

A top trio of talents in West & Hill, Soulroots and Soul Star all come together for a new package on Get Physical Music.

Dutch producer Soulroots’ debut album came on Madorasindahouse in 2021 and announced him as a real force in the world of Afro house. On this album, Soulroots first came together with West & Hill when the fellow Dutchman wrote the track ‘Let Me In’ for the LP. West & Hill had previously released on Madorasindahouse and Kindisch and has his own emotive and highly musical sound. The song received international support from Black Coffee, Adam Port and Adriatique and became an instant summer hit. Now they are back together on Get Physical, teaming up with South African vocalist Soulstar, who has his own rich and Afro-infused style.

The collaborative 'The World Goes Round' is a brilliant dance floor excursion. It's well crafted and succeeds in its mission to uplift as the tropical drums, and spiritual synths get the groove going, and then Afro vocals bring it to life. They soar up top above organic percussion and melodies that dazzle like glowing stars.

This is a truly soul-stirring and cultured house sound from West & Hill, Soulroots and Soul Star.

It was a Saturday at 4 pm, the sun was shining on the island and people were shining too - happy, no worries in sight, just enjoying life. Some people were even dancing in the water. Friends dancing in the back and up front, while Cookie whipped up some mouthwatering cocktails – it was an all-around beautiful scene, a perfect afternoon.
