From the banks of the Volga, "Arepo" rises from a fortified citadel as Anton MAKe forges another powerful construct from the Sator Square. A rhythmic cadence rolls effortlessly forward as a bassline sits below in symmetrical beauty. Melodic splendour ripples concurrently in hypnotic parallel and a heavy beat anchors the symphony of sound. A returning Dutch master orchestrates a new masterpiece redolent in aural textures and opulent sonic palette. Glistening patterns swirl and coalesce around Roger Martinez's vivid synth lines, pitching and bending against a harmonious chord sequence in delicate layers of tonality.

Along Lake Ontario's north western shoreline, a new edifice rises from Dowden's distinctive sonic architecture. Muted tones provide a mirror image of "Arepo"; a bouncing bassline creates easy familiarity while a new groove creates the framework for new artistry to flourish. A South American star creates an arpeggiated backdrop with palindromic majesty where John Cosani reinvents "Arepo". Water droplets of sound filter through the sonic spectrum alongside familiar bass patterns and a swathe of original textures blend in vivid sonic colours.

No doubt, this EP is probably the most important release of the year on Univack.

The well known colombian artist Kamilo Sanclemente @kamilosanclemente returns to Univack with an ambitious EP with 3 originals mixes and 2 remixes by two of his friends: the brillant netherlander artist Alex O'Rion @alexorion , and the spanish label boss Integral Bread @integralbread

Each of the three originals by Kamilo Sanclemente offers an unique experience. With 'Evergreen', we enjoy the deepest, warmest and most organic side of Kamilo, a track that captivates from the beginning. With 'Perspective', we enjoy a devastating track, with an unbeatable groove, and nuances and arrangements that Kamilo picks up from genres like Soul, Funky and Jazz. On 'Elements' Kamilo experiments with mixing pure Progressive House elements with an operatic vocal track that gives it a unique and futuristic character. 

Alex O'Rion displays all his mastery to achieve a remix of 'Evergreen' being faithful to the original but  offering a different atmosphere at the same time, and combining elements of the original track with new contributions that fit perfectly. 

Integral Bread closes this EP with a very personal version of 'Perstective'. Also faithful to the original in terms of structure and elements, but with new tracks that give it a deeper and more ethereal character. An ideal finishing touch for an epic release.

'Impressive DJs and producers in their own rights, Andrea Cassino and Greenage have both found themselves featured on a host of blue-chip labels. With a career stretching back some 20 years, May 2017 saw Andrea Cassino's "Divine" hit Proton Music followed by remixes from Magitman and Deeparture. A Proton Music debutant, Greenage has found considerable success with a double century of production credits for the likes of Stellar Fountain, Juicebox Music and Mango Alley. Combining their extensive forces, the title track opens with a reverb-laden percussive top line before dancefloor-oriented bassline groove and heavy beat create a strong rhythmic framework. Building effortlessly with angelic vocal layers and wave-like pads, "Losing Part of Me" waxes and wanes through its different phases as a Tangerine Dream inspired arpeggio makes its presence felt at the breakdown and into the third movement. The result is a majestic piece of progressive house. "Agua of Life" continues the rich bassline groove as off-beat percussive hats make their play alongside rippling motifs that carry the cadenced melodic narrative of its predecessor. Vocal layers once again play their part as the track hits its stride in the second half with consummate ease and impressive craftsmanship.

A remarkable producer with almost 500 production credits to his name since a 2011 debut, Dmitry Molosh's star burns brightly in the underground dance firmament. His distinctive sound has won him fans and plaudits far beyond his native Belarus with support from Nick Warren, Guy J and Hernan Cattaneo amongst others. A quartet of stellar remixes for Proton Music have included reworkings of Navid Mehr, Kastis Torrau and Trilucid and Phil Martyn while a debut original EP is set to follow. Returning with a typically impressive reworking of "Losing Part of Me", the Dmitry Molosh remix is an immaculate production that retains the head-shaking bassline character of the original while extending it through mirrored melodies that rise and fall with filtered ease. Layers of sound entwine in a multi-faceted sonic landscape that cleverly reinterprets Cassino and Greenage's central line, before exploding into the second half with dark dancefloor power and light melodic touch.

Cream and Deep Fog are mainstays of the progressive house scene with their distinctive sonic character and impressive production skills. Highly respected, hard-working DJs in their native Poland, the duo share over a century of production credits together with 2015's "Neverland" EP on Particles a notable highlight. A pair of remixes for Proton Music in the shape of interpretations of GMJ and Matter and Trilucid in 2018 and 2019 is now joined by a third. The Cream and Deep Fog remix of "Agua of Life" is a sumptuous reworking that revels in clever percussive layer and deep resonant kick that paves the way for the vocal layers from the original to lilt gently across proceedings alongside opulently textured pads. Evolving elegantly, the core melodic theme filters into sonic range, taking centre stage at the breakdown as additional production material from the duo's arsenal creates a dynamic and explosive second half.

Creating a powerful musical force with their original music, remixes from Dmitry Molosh and Cream and Deep Fog ensure Andrea Cassino and Greenage are in no danger "Losing Part of Me".'

Nicolás Leonelli es DJ y productor argentino, originario de Buenos Aires, nacido en 1998, con un padre también dedicado al DJing. Sus inicios en la música electrónica se remontan a muy temprana edad.
