The Epic of Gilgamesh is an epic poem from ancient Mesopotamia, regarded as the earliest surviving notable literature and the second oldest religious text, after the Pyramid Texts. The literary history of Gilgamesh begins with five Sumerian poems about Bilgamesh (Sumerian for "Gilgamesh"), king of Uruk, dating from the Third Dynasty of Ur (c. 2100 BCE). 

Morttagua inspires himself in the adventures and struggles from this historic Sumerian tablets to produce a progressive masterpiece.  ‘Epic of Gilgamesh” contains all the right elements to become an instant classic with its beautiful melodic riff, hypnotic groove, lush pads and enchanting ethnical vocals. 

We are sure this is a soundtrack that lives up to this literature legend from our ancient ancestors. Tune in and travel through a sensorial journey throughout the world of the “Epic of Gilgamesh”.

Artfaq's first solo EP arrives on Sudbeat with the support remix coming from one of the label's favourite, Ezequiel Arias. 

The Cordoba-based pair have made huge waves in recent times with tracks on Replug, The Soundgarden and Or Two Strangers to name a few. Collaboratively, they have a strong working relationship with Ezequiel with several releases on Cid Inc's aforementioned imprint. 

Opening with 'Lexion' Artfaq showcase exactly what's got them soaring the charts. Deep velvety kicks, heavenly synths, and a bass growl from Hell juxtapose in the most delightful way. Perfect warm up vibes that assure smiling faces on the floor. 
Next up, 'Perth Flight' continues apace. Solid kicks, snappy percussion and the warm low rumble of bass usher in another monster tune. The synth lines are delicate, each contributing to the overall story.

The “Echium” title track is a blistering sub-bass monster that drives along powerfully on a bed of ticking hi-hats and chest-thumping kick. Building in momentum, smooth pads and effortless synth lines flow across the 8-minute piece before revelling in a stripped-back breakdown. Picking up the pace again in the third movement, gorgeous harmonic overtones layer delicately across each other, borne of never-ending delay sweeps.

“Stranded” continues the powerful rhythmic narrative and otherworldly sonic landscape before a percussive loop provides subtle melodic phrasing. Shifting synth sequences bisect the left-right spectrum as waves of white noise fall against a rocky outcrop of percussive hats. Melodic lines continue to evolve in delicate patterns into the second half in a sonic palette of sheer bliss.

A sumptuous bassline groove propels “The Chase” through its hypnotic paces, accompanied by a chugging rhythmic backdrop. Simultaneously, gentle synth motifs pulsate in side-chained synchronicity as a rich symphony of sound swells into the second half against a plucked earworm phrase. The result is a dynamic and devastating club-friendly track that is sure to inspire a multitude of hands-in-the-air moments.

“The Serpent” ends the quadrilogy with its rippling sound effects that cascade in spiral patterns against a melodious foreground. Delicate percussive patterns marry with a deep resonant kick to provide a rhythmic anchor, giving freeform synth motifs the opportunity to express a meandering sonic voyage that reaches a powerful crescendo at the midpoint. Hitting its stride again in the third movement with additional melodic sequencing, the result is a charismatic end to an outstanding original EP."

If a new generation of self-identity artists is emerging within the electronic music scene, there is where we will certainly find the Argentinian Nicolás Rada, a DJ and producer who has created his own firmly-based path onwards success.

His early influences of Progressive Rock have led him to create a characteristic sound that his public appreciates and that makes you enjoy either on the dance floor or out of it. That sound is the one which conducted him to different labels such as The Soundgarden, Sudbeat, Balance, Get Physical, Chapter24, Sincopat, DAYS Like NIGHTS, Hoomidaas, Proton, among many others.

Since his very first steps in electronic music, up to date, Nicolás’ productions have received support from important referents as Nick Warren, Hernán Cattaneo, John Digweed, Danny Howells, Sander Kleinenberg, Guy Mantzur, Guy J, Patrice Baumel, Eelke Kleijn, Armen Miran and from many others. This guidance has given, and will surely give many opportunities to his carreer. Thus, the legendary Nick Warren proposed him to make some collaborations together and that is how not only their professional but also personal relationship began, releasing “Land of Dreams”, an EP edited by Nick’s label, The Soundgarden.

Warren’s musical knowledge challenged Nicolás with a new goal in a crucial moment of his carreer, to produce an album. And that’s the origin of “Resilience”. In addition to that, Patrice Baumel included Nicolás’ track “Cumulonimbus” in the prestigious album Global-Underground Berlin and Nick Warren added one of their productions to the mythological label Balance.

Since 2020 is on the roster of Analog Agency alongside some of most important Djs in the world. Nicolas’s brilliance has taken him on a global musical journey performing in a multitude of countries like Netherlands, Australia, Hungary, Spain, Scotland, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuator, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Sri Lanka and many others.  In his own country, he has covered almost all Argentina, visiting the most important clubs. He has been supporting Djs around the globe like John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Nick Warren, Satoshi Tomii, Eelke Kleijn, Guy Mantzur, Patrice Baumel and others.

His talent and achievements and music have been featured in music publications such as DJ MAG, Electronic Groove, Decoded Magazine, Vicious Mag, Change-Underground, When We Dip, which are the leading print and online sources within the music industry.
Nicolas captivates audiences with his performances at the premier venues in Argentina and South America, solidifying his reputation as a highly sought-after artist within the electronic music scene.
