Started more seriously in music composition in the mid-1960s with a couple of commissions for documentary film music (one shown on BBC TV), but got married and chickened out of the scene to buy food occasionally. After this, I composed away while 9 to 5 took me to lots of interesting non-musical places. Nowadays I just do spots, write, & facilitate at a small Writers' Group. (My handbook, "New Authors Start Here," uses my Pen Name Godffrey Greatorex.) Musically, I went for tunes that, hopefully, stay in the mind. Some say my 'unmannered' vocals appeal rather more than my playing. They must be right, for my playing is very underwhelming. But I do like that it seems I have some sort of melodic flair which has brought original works to share from time to time.
