We are pleased to present the legendary Manchester-based producer Frameworks on this weeks L’Essentiel Mix #169. Frameworks, who over the past decade has garnered international recognition through his lush, melodic electronic soundscapes. Frameworks has endeared himself to audiences through his thoughtful, evocative compositions, leading to performances at festivals such as Coachella, Electric Forest, and Lightning In A Bottle, collaborations with Island Records staple JP Cooper and Ninja Tune’s Jono McCleery, and a European tour support slot with Emancipator. Additionally, his most recent song “Blue Light” Featuring Cleopold has been gaining popularity throughout the world with its nostalgic keyboard chords and head-bobbing drum patterns. L'Essentiel 169 - Frameworks

I am thrilled to share this interpretation of my set from Pachena Music Festival, 2023 in Huu-ay-aht territory. This was my third time in this beautiful place but the first time at this festival (or any festival here). I have to admit I am now a huge fan of the silent disco medium and would jump at the opportunity to do it again, this was my first time playing one and then after my set I enjoyed it as a dancer too.  It was a pleasure choosing the music for this and appreciate so much all the positive feedback I've received since. This set is dedicated to my boys, Freddie and Makai, who had the time of their lives at this family friendly festival, and special mention to my eldest Freddie, who woke up at 2am to come dance to my set, highlight of my summer for SURE! 

Big thanks to Ben and Kat Howells for the opportunity and for throwing such a rad festival, and to the Huu-ay-aht Nation for hosting us in one of the most beautiful places on planet earth.
