Smudgie is a singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada. Her nickname "Smudgie", which her mom gave her, stuck from birth and it brings her luck. Her music is signed to multiple libraries and has been placed on Major League Baseball and TV shows around the world as well as having been played on terrestrial radio. Smudgie's music has also been played across America's sports arenas, reaching millions of fans. She has played live in Nashville, including at the Bluebird Cafe, in London, and in her home town of Toronto, where she won Best of The Open Mic. Singer/Songwriter, Russ Rogers has been actively writing, performing and recording rock/pop/soul music for the last 20 years. His guitar driven neo-soul awash in melancholic hooks, sets a dark yet hopeful tone. Notable tenure as Singer/Bassist and songwriter  for The Numb Ones (Cleopatra Records) has given Russ national recognition for his song craft, a trait he has since refined in earnest. I've been doing this stuff for a long time, and tend to write a lot, so it's quite good for my psyche to have soundcloud as a vehicle for my output. Basically all of the songs I upload here were, for better or worse, written, played/programmed, recorded, and mixed by me. Drums & synths are mostly programmed, instruments are all played, and vocals are just fun :)
