White City Lullaby

I bought a used accordion in 1993 at a thrift store, greatly upsetting my college roommate when I brought it back to our shared dorm room.  

More recently, I'd been wanting to dust it off and use it in a song, and I tried playing it rhythmically along with a funk guitar riff I had. I had also been wanting to write a song in Spanish, so I decided to incorporate some rhymes en espanol I wrote. Thirdly, I had been looking for some new types of rhythm loops to use in my music, and I randomly tried a cha-cha loop. These three elements together gave this song a latin feel that wasn't intended when I began this song. I hope you enjoy it.

Kissed By The Sun 

We wrote & recorded this back in March it somehow got lost as it ended up on a private playlist. I rediscovered it when on holiday scrolling through my files and it was on Nooblys private list.
So glad to rediscover the track as we record so many in the aim to just use the best but I really liked this on hearing it again with fresh ears. 
The time out on holiday gave me a chance to catch up so many unreleased tunes which some can be revamped to present in a different way. 
We have been so prolific in our writing that we ploughed through and onto the next. We both also do solo stuff and collaborations so  it becomes a conveyor belt of one after another. So I’ve promised myself to slow down and listen more to the art that’s created and appreciate it and the people involved. So a special thanks to Noobly and everyone else I have worked with it’s been a pleasure guys. And thank you to all those people who listened, commented and reposted.

This is a track I wrote about a month ago that I finally found the beat, tempo and mood that I've been searching for. I was so lucky to find Lilac Rust! Once I heard their music I felt an instant "click" and I knew we had to do just like peanut butter and chocolate and create our own version of a delicious peanut butter cup, audio version of course and I think it came out pretty tasty! Hope everyone else loves it too!
