CTHULHU MYTHOS: THE BANSHEE'S CRY

In Hour 2 it's Puce Mary the solo moniker of Copenhagen based sound artist Frederikke Hoffmeier. Since her first LP released in 2013, the project has then explored the fields of industrial noise and experimental music with a vast amount of releases on labels as Posh Isolation, iDEAL Recordings, Ascetic House and Freak Animal. Her latest release ' The Drought' has just been released on PAN and she had this to say about her mix;
"I'm very pleased to get to share this personal mix on Solid Steel. It consists of music made by friends I admire and have all influenced each other, my music and my life. New, old and a lot of unreleased material from Europe, China, Japan, USA and largely - the experimental music community I come from in Copenhagen."

Sam De La Rosa, well known from the Led Er Est band along with Kyle Dixon, member of S U R V I V E and composer of the music from Stranger Things series. Weirdo Texan Sam De La Rosa has been releasing solo and collaborative cold electronic music for over a decade now.  Well known from Led Er Est band  emerged from a series of jam sessions that core members Shawn O’Sullivan and Sam De La Rosa started having in early 2007, using bass guitar, some cheap drum machines, and synths. They were inspired to record music largely by ’70s synth prog, and ’80s lo-fi electronic and industrial music.  His latest release ‘Slick People’ was just released on Mannequin Records. Before that was the full length LP of very experimental music with Bill Converse under the project name Samaritan Quell. He is also in projects The Coombe, and Hobbits.

Kyle Dixon, probably best known for his work on the Netflix series Stranger Things, unlikely Hollywood darling Kyle Dixon is a member of the four piece band S U R V I V E. Survive (often styled S U R V I V E) is an electronic band consisting of Michael Stein, Kyle Dixon, Adam Jones and Mark Donica formed in 2009 in Austin, Texas. The Austin-based quartet have been producing synth-heavy, horror-score-influenced compositions for almost a decade, exploring these themes through drum machines and analog synths across various single, EP and LP releases and contributions to soundtracks such as acclaimed indie horror film The Guest. Upcoming projects include the score for Joaquín del Paso’s “El Hoyo en la cerca” with band mate Michael Stein, as well as a new label ~ Castle Quality Bricks, who’s first release (in collaboration with Holodeck Records) will be a vinyl reissue of Normal Echo’s 2017 album “Kaskady.” S U R V I V E’s next album for Relapse Records is being recorded now.
