When she's not working behind the counter at Phonica, Lucie divides her time between producing, DJing and performing as Avsluta, free improvisation and creating conceptual sound work. She runs Introspective Electronics, which is a monthly show on Netil Radio and a series of podcasts and chill-out gatherings at The Lion & Lamb in East London. 

Lucie’s second half of 2020 is packed with some exciting releases. First up, she has an electro-acoustic mini-album coming out with David Toop on Cafe OTO’s digital label Takuroku, followed by a collaborative experimental double LP with Christian Duka as Vãdin on Utter, and lastly, a tripped-out, progressive and trancey 12” shared with Miro SundayMusiq for E2-E8 Records.

Boris Filin is a Moscow-based Dj that prefers vinyl-only sound. In a short period of time from the beginning of his performances in clubs, he managed to get many positive feedbacks from musicians and clubbers, thanks to the excellent musical taste and technique. His impressive vinyl collection isn't tied to any genre. In his sets, you can hear techno, house, breakbeat and, of course, ambient. The latest appearance was at the CultKitchen Radio Showcase in Gazgolder club in Moscow. Now it's time to listen to his podcast. for our show.

As he said, he recorded this mix with thoughts of cyclicality of everything that surrounds us. You can hear it thanks to the selection. Birth, growth, progress, extinction, death and back to birth again. Everyone can have its own perception. "Music was always my companion from, I suppose, 15. Whatever happens music is the only thing that stays with me and support me at any period of my life.
I'm a scenarist and director and in the club I experienced the power of an abstract emotional narative created by a DJ and a crowd.
I take an approach to music firstly as a listener and explorer more than expert and archivist. I always try to know as little as possible about the particular music I'm going to listen, not to prejudge. I avoid books and films about electronic music as well. What I do is searching for a particular feelings that comes from the music. And then I mix them into emotional stories."

Next up on the Avenue Red Podcast is a DJ and producer from St. Petersburg, Russia known as Kruglenko. We have seen this guy around on SoundCloud thanks to the various recommendation algorithms, noticing his quality mixes and also his ear for productions are clearly getting to a high level... then he submitted a mix to us. Just shows the algorithms are functioning well over here!

What we received is a solid dancefloor-focused, heads-down and elbows-up DJ mix of driving, deep dubby techno and house. Music that is constructed in many implementations from the blueprints of the Basic Channel & Maurizio works.
