Next up on Poisonoise Music comes Episode 49 and features my first guest mix from Iceland, courtesy of artist Seagle.       
This is yet another artist that I have been a long time admirer of and I regularly enjoy his Dub Vibes mix series.       He always seems to bring some real depth and quality to his sets and they all seem to go on a real nice journey.
The same journey applies here again with this mix which features some gorgeous deep and dubby goodness.

Seagle (real name Svavar Orn) is just a guy from the most northern capital in the world, Reykjavik, Iceland, with Russian & German blood who loves living life. 
He moved allot around with his family when he was younger. Having lived in many places in Iceland, and also in Faroe Islands for some years and Israel, Tel Aviv for an example. 
"I am a people person. Love people, love being around them."
He started his musical journey pretty young as a kid discovering heavy metal, 80’s and following with grunge. Slowly after he
started discovering Drum & Bass, TripHop and Techno throughout the years. Then came a long pause in the electronic genre and moved completely
to Psychedelic rock rock, shoegaze and many other rock genres. 
Then when Sonar Festival decided to host “Sonar Reykjavik” festival about 4years ago he discovered the depths of Dub/Deep Techno and all it’s power. 
And Electronic music came back into his life. 
"What I love about Dub Techno is there are endless roads to choose. It’s so diverse and has so many varieties"
Today he listens to all music and gets his inspiration in all genres. Everything from Jazz, to Heavy Metal.

I wanted this mix to be subtle, relaxing but yet little deep. I love what the abyss has to offer.

Greyscale continues its stellar run into the new decade and brings aboard a new artist for its latest release. St.Petersburg based and Karelian born BOTN (Breath of the North). Credit BOTN here for 4 tracks of minimalistic and enveloping gems for the brain and feet that are without borders or frames. 'Tranquility' is the apt name for the first inclusion. Its heavenly melodic resonance and wonderfully balanced percussion are pure magic. Veteran producer Altitude (Matt Thibideau) takes on the remix duties and works up a bubbly and energetic version. Very reminiscent to the classic sounds of Savvas Ysatis on Tresor around the time of the new millennium. If you know, you know. Sandwiched inbetween them is 'Path to the Void' & 'Liar'. The former is verging on a minimalist and dark banger with addictive subliminal rhythm changes while the latter introduces an acid line to the party. Acid in dub techno?! We told you there's no borders here! There is much to enjoy here. Each track plays well on its own and are very DJ friendly. These are all honest, melodic and rhythmic pleasing representations of the genre. Greyscale continue to find fresh new artists and perspectives for its label. If you are looking for dub techno that is as equally deep and catchy as it danceable then this is one to have!

After a decent corpuscular thrashing, the calibration of the control systems went in normal mode.
When the readings of the instrument were analysed, there was an enthusiastic voice on board: "Thermoregulation is normal, cap! Electromagnetic induction and differential change of the phase integral are calculated! Full speed ahead!"

After passing through the dense asteroid belt, the broken testers found that a kinetic teleport spat out their aircraft near the orbital station "Research Institute of Cybernetics", where an unscheduled study of the dynamic modulations and illumination of the moon was carried out using ultrasonic transducers.

With amazing ease, they ended up in the center of scientific research, in the middle of a landfill filled with splitting blasters and life-size holographic models. The mechanics of this action had an absolutely mesmerizing effect, making anyone who witnessed it freeze in amazement. The slow-motion fashion show of the prototypes reflected the metamorphoses of the growing (as they say among Earthlings), full and waning moon, reminding us of the grandiosity of the internal changes of each of us and of the magnetic integrity they possess.
