Dub Techno Blog Live Show 012 - Mixlr - 28.09.14

Dennis Liber, born Dionisios Tsinaslanidis, is a Greek-Turkish electronic music producer and DJ blending deep house, disco, balearic, and tropical sounds. Born in Switzerland, raised in Greece and influenced early on by his uncle, house music pioneer Jamie Lewis, Liber developed a passion for analog synths, 303 basslines, and jazzy grooves. Now based in Tulum, Mexico, he channels the spirit of the region’s vibrant music culture into his productions and DJ sets.

Known for releases on Razor-N-Tape, Rocksteady Disco, and Delusions of Grandeur, his most recent EP Tropic State captures the essence of sun-soaked dance floors with collaborators like Lex (Athens) and Sariela Camargo. Liber’s music feels both nostalgic and modern-crafted for open-air parties and intimate club nights alike.

This episode, UVS hosts a very special guest, Eric Louis. Hailing from NJ, Eric Louis is a DJ and producer with eclectic taste and refined skills behind the decks and in the studio. A former intern at Deeper Rekords under NYC legend Jonathan Peters, Eric honed his early production chops creating edits played for thousands in Peters’ iconic marathon sets. 

Active in the NYC scene with a 5-year residency and numerous gigs across the region, Eric broke out in 2015 by winning Victor Calderone’s remix contest out of 300 entries. That release propelled him to international recognition with tracks on labels like Nervous (NY) and Berlin’s Get Physical.

Blending underground sensibilities with forward-thinking sounds, Eric launched his own imprint “Devilish Affair” in 2021. The label has earned major support—John Digweed championed “Waiting in the Rain” and Ryan Elliott charted “AM Dubs” in late 2022.

In 2025, Eric continues expanding Devilish Affair and releasing on respected labels like Spclnch, OHM Series, MixCult, and Bondage. He’s also joined forces with rising star Cristina Lazic and her La Zic Academy, mentoring the next generation of DJs and producers.

UVS has been an early supporter of Eric’s deep, dubby house and techno sound. Don’t miss his guest mix on the UVS podcast celebrating his latest Devilish Affair release, with remixes by Francesco Mami and Lola Palmer—available soon in the UVS shop and on Bandcamp.

"This mix comes from my sets warming up for LCD Soundsystem. When on tour I might do four to eight shows in a run and I like to try to make each show different and not play the same set every night. Sometimes I play to the crowd, sometimes I play for myself but often times the band will have the audio piped into the dressing rooms and this set comes from specifically playing to them. I’ve played a few different versions of this set, but anytime I played a synth/coldwave set I always got a great response from the band so I wanted to record something to remember before I moved on." -Marcus
