The wait is over - PB4 is here. Perhaps one of the most revered album series in drum & bass is back with a vengeance, and some are saying it maybe the best yet.

First on the double A side we have the triumvirate of Glenn & Zula A.I and DRS with Warhorse - A very apt title for a very powerful, uncompromising and snarling stepper, DRS spits venom and gives way to a screwface-bassline that envelopes everything in its path. The very definition of war horse is well and truly on display here. As opener for PB4 it really sets the tone for the album - No bullsh*t - Headz2014.

Pyxis's mix starts out with some smooth, liquid funk, featuring vocal samples that hug your soul! The mix moves into some filthy steppers, and smooths out again! VIBES on this one!!

Let's meet our dj for episode 415, Pyxis:
Newcomer producer pyxis is no stranger to drum n bass, having worked for some of the scene’s biggest labels and producers for over 20yrs. In the early days of the late 90s, pyxis was running vinyl to distributors and record shops, organising mail outs and sales notes, writing for magazines, managing studios, bands, events and nightclubs whilst also joining in with some collaborations in the studio, co-writing on some hardcore and UK Garage tracks and remixes.

Eventually by 2001, taking on the royalty collection for the likes of Total Science, A-Sides, Majistrate, Audio, Ed Rush & Optical, Bad Company, Digital & Spirit with business partner Laura and together they are S2k Music. Since then, they have signed over 1200 artists and represent over 25,000 songs.

Having lived and breathed drum n bass for all of her adult life, it was a natural desire to produce her own music and in 2019, pyxis picked up an old hobby and started making music again, with her first release on Mitekiss and Mr Porter’s label Goldfat in December 2019, it was “an honour to be recognised by one of her favourite producers”. With output on Just Noyze, Liquid Drops, Sunny Moves and of course her own label Beats In Mind, set up to release albums and raise funds and awareness for mental health charities.
