I composed this music with the image of dramatic dance music. This is the first time I've written a music like this.

ABSTRACT SPHERE

When I agreed to collab with TRC and started to have ideas about his spacey proposal, I didn't expect he would send me not less than FOURTEEN STEMS ! ! !   A fabulous variety, so I had a complex and funny job mixing them with mine. We got two bass lines going on, but any bass is never too much bass ;)

The Coffee Jitters Demo A

a few out takes from Dani Kirby and Mat Ward's weekly rehearsals at the legendary Rat Palace as we plot and stumble our way to a new full length album. We seem to have more riffs this year, less texture, more fuzz, less space. Fuck knows where these things come from, a couple we have stopped and thought about, others we just let flow. Hopefully towards the end of the year we will have decided whats what and have a new shiny thing out in the universe. Thanks as always for all the support : )

When https://soundcloud.com/dneye asked me for a track to play his fantastic guitars on, I brainstormed this 5/4 piece with odd chord set in order to make it difficult to him and thus get the best from his skills. After programming it, I added some organic solos (yep I played keys) to make it seem more friendly ;))))

And he... succeeded in the challenge, overcoming all my expectations !!!

Hello, 
Ca fait longtemps que je n'ai rien publié, mais..je suis en train de m'Y remettre et de travailler sur de nouvelles chansons ( persos, et collabs').
En attendant, j'ai retrouvé cette démo piano-voix ( + basse), que j' avais enregistré en 2008, et ..oublié..
A la reécoute, c 'est vrai que j' aimerais bien a retoucher, car..
le piano est un peu..scolaire ( je pianote seulement)..et trop fort..( en volume..) la voix est trop faible..etc,
Hélas, comme j' ai perdu toutes les bandes de ces années là,( gros coup dur..) je ne peux la refaire..
Mais j'ai une tendresse particulière pour cette chanson, qui , une fois de plus fait appel aux métaphores maritimes pour exprimer mes vagues à l'âme..^^o), et ça me correspond bien..

Et puis, j'ai super bossé la partie de basse, et surtout, la coda de fin au piano...J' espêre que vous arriverez jusque là^^o)

Je perds souvent le Nord, à l’ouest de mes voyages
J effleure en quittant le port, les balises de l’âge
Mes rêves en fond de cale, écopent de tristes sorts
Mille lieues sous mon crane, sous cape  en rient encore…

Plus loin, à l’ouest j’implore, mon carnet d’ pires ratages
Sur les rives du remords, j’enterre mon héritage
Sombres étapes, certitudes toc, mon cap est une canne
J’éclate ma coque, et Syracuse ricane…

A l’ouest,  à l’ouest   , à l’ouest  ….

A l’ouest de mes voyages, je suis esclave de ma boussole
Je reste calme dans le naufrage, prisonnier de mon rôle
Je baisse la tète devant la vague, j’écoute les sirènes
Je m’entête et je divague, au nord est ma reine….

Plus loin, j’explore à l’ouest, les points cardinaux
Le froid du nord, l’Eden de l’est, mon appareil  photo
Fixe des instants fragiles, quand elles effleurent l’eau
Mes rames au cou gracile, se peut que le sud soit beau…

A l’ouest,  à l’ouest   , à l’ouest  ….


Et  de mon cœur de matelot, qui tangue et qui chaloupe
J’arrache des pleurs qui pèsent trop, mon rire a l’vent en poupe
A l’ouest, rien n’est plus beau, que ce sud qui s’invente
Que ces pôles qui s’aimantent, à l’avant des bateaux…..
