For the sixth edition of our mix series we asked XSPEC to get involved. XSPEC is a London based DJ with his own project Space To Move, as well as playing alongside some top selectors for Bloop London Radio. I've had the pleasure of sharing decks with XSPEC for Altered a couple of times, his mixing style is effortless and precise, with his sets always taking you on a journey.

This particular set explores electronica, breaks and techno, personally it is one of my favourite listens this year.

Here's some words from the man himself:

'With my mixing I try to create something that sounds beautiful whilst making it impossible not to have a right ole boogie. Weaving some leftfield electronica and sax into techno, bass and breaks seemed like a reasonable way of getting this done 😊 My favourite moments are always the unexpected ones, especially a jazzy number from Joe Goddard/Alabaster Deplume in the middle, and a ridiculous breaks remix of Plaid 'Clocks' to close out the mix. Hope you enjoy listening as much as i did recording it'
