My song, "Christmas Time," began with hitting a wrong note. My wife and I were returning from Thanksgiving at her mom's house, listening to Christmas music. She says, "You know what the world needs? New Christmas songs. We've been listening to the same ones for 50 years." I said, as I chuckled "I don't write Christmas music and wouldn't even know where to start if I did." Fast forward to later that evening, while practicing for a show, I hit a wrong chord. Now when musicians hit a wrong chord, we often see if we can find other wrong chords that might create a new song—and it worked. A few hours later, "Christmas Time" was born.
