CitySpeak is fronted by Jesse Mason, from New York, US. His eclectic music style began at a young age with his fascination for the old school chiptunes of classic videogames, and the synths found prominently in 80's new wave. Striving to produce the interesting and unusual; atmospheric/stadium sounds are often paired with bold chiptunes, synths, and bass. This seemingly odd combination results in a refreshingly new twist on today's often "cookiecutter", repetitive electronic music.
CitySpeak draws his inspiration from artists like Vangelis, Nobuo Uematsu, Chemical Brothers, M83, and several others.

Heavily influenced by 90’s hip-hop, Lee’s sound is a bold mix of heavy beats and self-conscious lyrics. Capturing a slice of Australian life that we can all relate to, Lee is an artist in tune with the world around him. Lee defines his style as ‘conscious hip-hop’, offering sharp rhymes that flow with intricate meanings, hidden messages and plenty of depth. 

Influences include artists such as Gangstarr, Nas, Masta Ace, Apathy, Eminem, Hilltop Hoods, Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Big L, Cunninlynguists, J. Cole, Bliss n Eso, Rakim, R.A The Rugged Man, J Dilla, MF Doom, and Talib Kweli. 

After releasing mixtapes in 2010 & 2013, Lee has continued to impress fans and critics alike. Lee had released his debut EP in 2018, ‘Society Trap’, built from nine songs that perfectly illustrate his flow and dexterity, ‘Society Trap’ hits with a fresh, uncompromising sound, one that is instantly recognisable and impossible to deny.

Comenzó a interesarse desde muy niño x la música electrónica de los años 90, escuchando mucho Hardcoore, Break Beat d aquella década grabando en Cintas d Cassette muchos famosos programas d Radio d x entonces y bajando canciones x internet con el programa Napster.

Empezó a interesarse d verdad x la música y compro su primera mesa d mezclas así iniciándose en el mundo del dj experimentando x sí mismo y sus amigos, d hay paso a usar programas de pc de mezclas como Atomix y Dss dj, y amplio sus estilos musicales hacia el Nuskool el cual empezó a crear sesiones y a enviarlas a Radios de la provincia de Huelva el cual las acogieron muy bien llegando a publicar en programas como Energy Music todas las sesiones q enviaba, pinchando en pequeñas fiestas privadas, también empezó a experimentar con la producción pero sin ningún éxito debido al poco conocimiento y pocos medios q se tenían x aquellos años...

De ahí paso ya con 16-17 a acudir a fiestas y grandes Festivales x Andalucía d música Electrónica, ya x el año 2000 estuvo un poco apartado del mundo del Dj por algunos problemillas personales…

Una vez ordenado su vida y superando estos problemas volvió una vez más al mundo del Dj y comenzó a producir teniendo esa ilusión por aprender desde muy niño ,extendiendo sus estilos hacia el House y todas sus variantes y hasta el día d hoy sigue esforzándose y dando lo mejor de sí mismo en cada trabajo que realiza.
