Visionary Shamanics label head Mystical Voyager and Cosmic Touch, the label head for the newly formed psybass label UnityVerse Music, have joined forces for the first time to bring you a collaboration project between the two labels.

For this installation of the Rusted Rhythm, our friend SubRoot has graciously provided a fresh hour of smoothly transitioned tunes for the listening pleasure of all. This adventurous mix is rife with aqueous tones and dripping melodies, and heavily explores the psybient side of broken-beat electronic music. The tempo varies vastly throughout the duration of the mix, and while the general atmosphere remains the same as a whole, there are plenty of peculiar aural rabbit holes that are all too easy to get lost in.

Rusted Rhythms Vol. 18 - SubRoot

The debut EP from @Kumaramusic is a deep journey complete with intelligent sound design and tantalizing flow. The mix of psychedelic sounds and ethereal vocals laid over the top of seemingly familiar yet engaging and eccentric bass lines and drum patterns gives listeners a multifaceted experience fit for a variety of listening environments.

I was honored to be part of Anthropos Festival’s live stream in June 2020. This selection of brain-tickling bass tracks explores the intersection between numerous musical styles emanating from the 70/140 realm of the electronic underground. A moody mix that was intended to entertain listeners on both sides of the Atlantic with psychedelic texture, churning rhythms, and heavy bass, “Hybrid States” is a rollercoaster of light and darkness that I hope will entertain lovers of all intelligent bass styles.
