The next release on Light my Fire comes courtesy of Zurich’s Fat Sushi, who recently impressed with their ‘My Place’ EP on Off Recordings. On ‘Hypnotic’ the duo presents three resourceful club tracks consisting of elastic bass lines, epic breaks and a good pinch of humour to keep it fresh. 	

‘Problems’ is crafted for the peak time: areal synths chase over a plump bed of bass, elevated by a looped guitar riff and sweet vocal hooks. Next, ‘Hypnotic’ sways through the night, lighting up the dance floor with feel-good vibes. Stefan Mint, who has previously release on Groove On, takes the track’s title quite literal and delivers a hypnotic tech house remix made for the wee hours. Great stuff! Lastly, we are treated to a healthy portion of 80s power, as ‘What You Need’ combines retro synths with modern house sounds.

While 'Perfect Fit feat. Heartbeat' represented the softer, more organic moments of Niko Schwind's recent 'Grippin' World' LP, the second album single 'My Heart Is On Fire' showcases a tougher, more club-focused sound, that's complimented well by Niko's choice of remixers. 	

On the original of ‘Grippin’ World’, a monstrous bass-line wraps itself around Lil’ Magdalene’s beguiling voice. Bristol's rising stars Waifs & Strays pitch down the original's vocals and lay them over a grooving house framework accentuated by machine gun claps and stuttering vocal loops. 	

We are then treated to classical pumping piano house in the form of 'My Heart is on Fire', which wouldn’t have been out of place in early 90s Manchester. Lastly, Dale Howard turns in a muscular warehouse dub that perfectly round off a very solid DJ package.

Premiere: Noir And HRRSN 'My Fault'

Following the great success of 'ANGEL' we are now ready with the next Noir single on Noir Music. 

'MY FAULT' features the emotional, soul drenched vocals and lyrics of Berlin based singer HRRSN, that heart wrenchingly reflect the deep regrets and inner conflicts of a failed relationship. The emotive vocals are fused with penetrating synths and heavy beats to create the perfect contrast against the vulnerability that's inherent in his words.

"This is probably my most clubby but also my rawest, emotional track to date. It's crafted and arranged with my experience from playing from small clubs to big festivals and tested accordingly, so I was 100% sure it worked perfectly" says Noir.

Lastly, jacking garage percussion and an old-school bass-lead drive ‘Sydney’, K&S’s homage to the golden age.

This is about trying to mask your transparency before finally giving up and accepting your flaws.
I sent this backing track to Symbol as a challenge. I had a feel he could write on any music but to be honest I didn’t think he would nail this one. It also took me a couple of listens to his ideas before they really caught me and I understood his flow. It ended up inspiring me to change the music a little and build all the tensions you hear in the song today. It’s a record you probably wouldn’t expect me to produce a couple of years ago, but that’s what’s lovely about making music when you start from scratch.  Symbol needs credit for making this one work though: if it wasn’t for his brilliant vocal I don’t think I would ever have finished the music.

Noir - Glass Ft Symbol (Album Snippet)

This is about inner chaos. 
Once this was done I knew it would be the closing track of the album. It sounds like a lullaby to me and listening back now I have no idea how I came up with the melody on this one. I chose Cari Golden to sing on this because for some strange reason I knew she could nail this one and she did. Another one of those first takes on the album, there was no ping-pong between us. It actually doesn’t work on a steady beat. I had an idea to put 4/4 under the vocals but quickly realized that wasn’t going to work. So rather than changing Cari's rhythm and the special vocal she had delivered I adapted the music and arrangement around her story. I feel this song is the perfect way to close the album.
