Disquiet Junto Project 0599: Minimal(ist) Blend

How the sounds were created might best be described as follows: 
- Recorded 5 polyrhythmic guitar tracks (in 3, 4, 5 and 7) live, over the entire duration of the track ~3.5 minutes
- Disguised them, only allowing each to come to the fore occasionally
- Added up-front metallic sounds, single hit percussion and a bassy pad
- Mixed those ingredients to allow different aspects to shine in turn.

​​Disquiet Junto Project 0600: ​​Reaching Out
The Assignment: This is a shared sample project. Rework a set of seven WAV files provided by Marcus Fischer.

I used two melodic audio clips from Marcus' set, "Hands Held" and "Walking". Layered synths over "Hands Held", brought "Walking" in towards the end. 
The magic "Random Midi Note Suppression" (https://www.kvraudio.com/product/random-midi-suppression-by-to-the-sun) always rescues me.

The 600th Junto?? I must be getting old by now, surely... 😊

600 is a pretty cool number as it turns out!
It has 24 factors. That's a lot! E.g. 500 only has half that number, for example.
Babylonians counted in base 60 - it's why we have sixty secs in a min, and sixty mins in an hour, and 360 degrees in a circle... And 360 is the lowest number with 24 factors - a great choice to divide up a circle!
Well, 600 in the Babylonian number system - it maps "A0" in our representation of Base-60 numbers. A significant numeric milestone in both our base-10 and their base-60 counting schemes.
 
It's a significant number to us too! "How long will this take I ask myself? Ah I'd say about 10 minutes"...  aka 600 seconds!
