An experimental generative composition using physical modelling instruments, for noir movies of the 1950's.

Noir

Haha, chiptune. Well, nope, not chiptune. But it has chiptune elements in it? Maybe it'll be part of that album. Probably not though. I really like the track in its own right though.

I wanted to keep it under 10 minutes, but it wrestled its way way out of that. Over 11 minutes now. And it needs every second of it, to breathe, to beat its living heart, to meditate.

It took a while to get this to work really. All the elements wanted their proper space, there needed to be enough of them to fill everything while not overwhelming any piece. And the mix, the reverb, the distortion, the granular delays ... not easy. But it was worth it. Done now.
