For over a decade now, Strasbourg’s ADS1 has operated like a mythic figure in the French 140 bpm underground—part dubstep scholar, part bass sorcerer. Known for his meticulous sound design and an ear permanently tuned to the deepest corners of sound system culture, the DJ/producer has quietly built a reputation among connoisseurs of sub-heavy music. His new EP, a four-track release that feels as much like a short story collection as it does a club record, sees him both refining and subverting his own formula—drawing from hip-hop, Eastern instrumentation, and pure psychedelic experimentation.

With his previous EP 'Orbs', remix of J:Kenzo's 'Desired State' , collab project with MYTHM and feature on Architects Vol 2 LP the midlands native has been a staple artist of the label over the past few years.

This EP is a complete full spectrum of Unkey's sound within the world of Dubstep. With the elegant mystical sample on 'The Crescent Veil' , full force momentum of 'Phantom Pulse' fusing swinging breaks with half step beat patterns, the gritty vibe of 'Mind Meld' to the straight up darkness of the title track 'Visor'.
