Kooley High Records welcomes Joint4Nine with his debut release on KHR “Make
It Wanna Do It Right”. The Ep includes five originals tracks that highlight his
signature deep, soulful disco house in a dub and electro style.
The release opens with "Working Hard (Slapping Dub Mix)," a detroit deep house
track that sets the groove for the EP. A heavy and groovy slapping bassline is the
one who drive us into an euphoric vibe, while infectious house vocal samples and
groovy drums lay down a classic Joint4nine vibe. Following, “Electro Figaro
(Space Dub Mix)” brings a perfect blend of Acid Disco and electro beats. A catchy
Acid basssline melody merges with a vibrant Rap sample vocal from legend MF
Doom, creating an space dub energy atmosphere that will light up any dancefloor.
“Hey Girl (Disco ub Mix)” pays tribute to Indie disco, blending disco elements with a
modern Indie twist. It’s a Happy and funky yet fresh take, capturing the essence of
Indie Dance while pushing the sound forward. Following "Wet Dreams (Sexy Dub
Mix)" a Detroit deep house track infused with Hip Hop and funky soul samples. The
mix of a heavy hipnotic bassline and acid motifs delivers a unique, genre-defying fo
the track. Last but no least the Release closes with “Make It Wanna Do It Right
(Tool Dub Mix) an acid and elctro driven track with soul vocal samples.

Bogotá-based duo Rush City (Jonahlo & Joint4Nine), co-founders of
Ritmo Terco, return with their second vinyl release on the label — a
four-track EP of inspired reworks spanning boogie, Italo disco, deep
house, and electro.
Each cut pays homage to a classic or obscure source, reconstructed with
Rush City’s trademark analog warmth and sharp club sensibility. From
the reimagined 1984 Surface jam “When Your Ex Wants You Back”
— driven by 808s and acid lines — to the dubbed-out disco sleaze of
“Brown Sugar”, the A-side brings the funk with a modern twist.
Flip it over for a hypnotic, acid-tinged take on Dream 2 Science’s “My
Love Turns to Liquid”, and an electrified rework of Magazine 60’s
Italo anthem “Don Quichotte”, featuring re-recorded vocals and updated
synths.
An essential EP for selectors who love genre-bending, era-spanning edits

Opener “When Your Ex Wants You Back” breathes new life into Surface’s 1984 boogie anthem, fusing its soulful acapella with 808 rhythms, acid basslines, and shimmering synths for a raw electro-funk twist. Following “Brown Sugar”, lifted from a rare 80s adult film soundtrack, becomes a dubbed-out, indie-leaning acid disco tool — weird, seductive, and undeniably effective.

On the B-side, Dream 2 Science’s deep house classic “My Love Turns To Liquid” is transformed into a hypnotic acid roller, stripping things back while keeping the soul intact. Closer “Don Quichotte” rebuilds Magazine 60’s Italo gem from the ground up — with re-recorded vocals and fresh synth work, it’s a full-throttle electro bomb.

Atlantica used to be a super continent million years ago, it is now the compilation that Nómada Records have put on the table. It explores the different concepts and statics that go from disco to techno and individual explorations that the contemporary dance floor offers.

TSM aka This Soft Machine returns to Eskimo Recordings with ‘Absence Of Rhythm’, backed by a remix from the legendary London-based DJ and producer Rory Phillips and a TSM dub version. ‘Absence Of Rhythm’ is a piece of otherworldly disco with a futurist sheen and was created entirely by Tim Sullivan and his band using analogue equipment. Swedish singer Erik Lindestad aka The Land Below is on the vocals.

He explains: “I lived in London between the ages 18-21. This time changed my taste in music forever. I would do my best to be at Trash Club every Monday night. Here I was introduced to the idea of dance music and rock music being completely compatible. Hearing the Pixies & Talking Heads played along side Dance Music. I remember dancing in the side room to ESG, A Certain Ratio, Delta 5 and The Rapture. Rory Phillips was the guy responsible for the music selection and also my extremely sore legs the next day from dancing all night. I’m super excited to have Rory giving his touch to my own music.”

Previous TSM releases on Eskimo were met with high acclaim. Support from Ewan Pearson, In Flagranti, Jacques Renault, airplay on BBC Radio 1, triple j, 1Live, KCRW, RBMA Radio and more. Videos premiering on FACT and Purple, raving reviews on Dj Mag, juno, Beatport, STW, lagasta. The past two years saw TSM supporting Carl Craig, DARKSIDE, Tim Sweeney, Psychemagik, Alexis Taylor, Flight Facilities and Chris Liebing on stage.
