Nicepeople have released some serious players in the past couple of years, from established legends like Orlando Voorn and Boo Williams through to newer talents like Khadeeja Grace and Soulvibe Inc. Now it's the turn of Giuseppe Scarano and Gourmet De Funk to lay down the deep house mission in a classic New York style - just listen to 'Gotta Move (GFD Party Stompin' Mix)' and you'll know what we mean. The sampling alone nods to Big Apple legend Pal Joey, while the sax-licked groove has a MAW vibe to die for. The quality keeps up across this record, leaving you with some forthright garage house pieced together with knowledge and flai.

Jesssica Bellomo - Ghetto Dancin'

Friedrich Raphael and Sense Of Sun are two sunny minds in the often gray and hectic Berlin. Their 4-track EP sets the 'Framework' for fun and melodic house music that is guaranteed to entice you to dance.

While 'Future Fabric' and 'Concrete Cylinder' by Friedrich Raphael contain housey yoyo vibes with hints of the dub genre, 'Many Doors' and 'Ran Park' by Sense of Sun go a bit more in the direction of classic house, with sounds inspired by retro game music. The two artists don't just share a release and good vibes though, you can hear their musical closeness to each other. Take a listen and a guess which framework the two have set for this cheerful record released on the Istanbul-/Barcelona-based imprint Petra Recordings.

The present EP is the first work of Zaratustra toward more housy and funky atmospheres, with two tracks that share a vintage and joyful vibe. 

« Down the Rabbit Hole » evokes a scene from « Alice in Wonderland ». In this fast house tune, you could picture Alice running after the White Rabbit in a sort of comic-book background. It has many different elements that don’t stop surprising throughout the track: piano solos, acid, laser dives and childish flute melodies; all blending in a catchy rythm thanks to the punchy drums and bassline. 

« On the Run » is a playful and merry indie dance song that evokes a reckless ride on a sunny Californian highway. Drawing inspiration from 80s music, with rock-like vocals, the track contains a variety of old-school synths, as well as hopping acid lines.

Vudufa, the Peruvian maestro of enchanting beats, surprises us once again with a captivating reinterpretation of his own iconic track, "Lo que sueño en Margay", this time revisited under the pseudonym of his side project, Pounda.

Following the South American tribal Loa, the cinematic AfroAmbience, and the organic Kuanda, the man behind the demonic pig mask emerged on @RadioChiguiroRadio with the EP "Sheshe". There, he reinforced the singularity of his musical and visual identity, inspired by rhythms inherited from Peruvian natives and African slaves of the colonial era. Almost all tracks were named using the dialect of the Palo Monte (or Santeria) religion, of Bantu origin.
