Instruments remind me a lot of Dalek. Really like the composition but if you want my advice, adding/subtracting layers every 16 bars like you said will definitely get predictable and shit. I've tried haha but yeah I'd love to hear this developed further. You may want to switch out the drum samples for something less ear-piercing

Still a WIP, but I'm so excited about it I just had to put it up so I could get back on my lab reports due tomorrow and stop working on it!

My first "progressive" post-trip hop song. The plan is after the initial 8 beat solo intro, to add a new layer every 16 beats. It will be at least 5 minutes long in total, but I'm shooting for around 8 minutes. More subtle changes will be made to the drum beat's rhythm over time, with the samples used changing subtly as the song progresses. I want this one to be epic in the end, I plan on working on it all next week when I'm on vacation.

Title should say it all, but the concept is a thunderstorm. An epic, world-shaking thunderstorm, like that feeling you get in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. when a blowout is about to occur. The sky turns red and menacing, sirens blare out warning of imminent danger, that feeling that you better find shelter quick, or you're fucking dead. And not a fun, painless death, either.

That, but on the level of some apocalyptic shit. I want it to build from a low rumble off in the distance into something immense and terrifying, then  drop quickly (but not instantly) as you reach the "eye of the storm", and then come back to something that sounds earth-shattering, ripping and tearing the planet apart with blistering lightning, fierce winds, and monsoon-level rain (which is what the shakers sound like they could symbolize).

Let me know what you think of the sounds and the direction my creations are going in, negative feedback is fine, this is only going to be up for a week before it's replaced.
