Bio:

Marcelo Malta, aka MLTX, is a DJ and music producer deeply rooted in a musical legacy. Inspired by his multi-instrumentalist father, he began his musical journey early on, mastering drumming and performing in hardcore, punk rock, and heavy metal bands. This formative experience instilled in him a profound appreciation for diverse rhythms and melodies.

In 2015, a transformative experience at major festivals and parties ignited a passion for techno. Immersed in the sounds of renowned artists, he discovered a new musical direction. Encouraged by a friend during the pandemic, he embraced DJing, quickly establishing himself as a rising star.

MLTX has garnered international recognition, playing at renowned parties and podcasts worldwide. His talent was acknowledged by the Colombian collective @elviaje, where he was invited to curate, providing a platform for other underground artists.

MLTX's unique sound, coined #fusiontechno, seamlessly blends techno, indie dance, and dark disco. His productions and DJ sets are characterized by energetic and captivating performances, driven by powerful, dark rhythms that reflect his drumming background.

When the Full Moon has passed, the Waning Moon phase begins.⁠ This is the time to let go what no longer serves you.⁠

This month we had a Full Moon combined with a Lunar Eclipse, also called the 'harvest Moon'.⁠

The Moon is in the sensitive sign of Pisces, directly opposite the sun in the practical sign of Virgo. Virgo likes to know where it stands. It plans, structures, and organizes, because that makes it feel secure. It acts based on facts and does research. And then there is sensitive Pisces. This sign acts based on feelings. If something doesn't feel right, it won't happen. Feelings are incredibly important to this zodiac sign, as is intuition.⁠

Scattering for many years between different underground music genres, this frequency collided with the techno soundscape in 2016, creating an outburst of energy.
After he took the Belgian MUSICASA producer’s education, as a first step to pursuing his dream, he quickly released EP's and remixes on melodic techno labels such as SMR Underground, Melodia Records, Tanzgemeinschaft, and Papaya music.

After releasing and performing on various stages, and through the process of producing and self-awareness, he felt the melodic techno genre wasn’t the perfect reflection of what inspired and drove him.

In 2022 he had a change of heart as he started focusing more on
underground hypnotic, atmospheric and ambient techno, reaching for that inner spirit and dynamic balance. This resulted in releases on some of the biggest labels in the hypnotic scene like DORIAN, The Gods Planet, BAHN, Khoros, Informa, Space Textures, Arcadia,... with many more on the way.

It took me a long time to pull myself together to record the next installment of the Return to Atlantis mix, over a year since the last one. I really wanted it to reflect the trance-like essence of Atlantis. And the perfect opportunity came during the recent Biotechnologia event at Krakow’s Sekta Selekta. I felt it was a good night, with the right vibe for a multi-genre set driven by trance energy.
Inside, you’ll hear trance in its progressive, goa, and psychedelic forms — as well as deep and minimal techno, progressive house, electro, and even some leftfield breakbeat.
I invite you to give it a listen. I have very fond memories of that night on the Sekta dancefloor. I really like this recording — its variety, and at the same time, its surprisingly coherent atmosphere.

Return to Atlantis vol.II

“Timeless Frequencies” is a deep, hypnotic psytrance journey. Rolling bass and tight kick drive the track forward, while evolving arps and cosmic atmospheres create a sense of expanding consciousness. It feels both grounded and transcendental — perfect for late-night dancefloors or introspective headphone trips. With career roots in the hospitality industry as a personal chef & hotel manager, music was a strong force in Hungary-born Norbi Szakács’ life from the time he was a child. He grew up listening primarily to trance then progressive, melodic & deep house and now is also influenced by the breakbeat culture. He always had a keen interest in how to transform one’s thoughts and innermost feelings into a musical form for others to appreciate.

This past year, as many of us sought out new life paths, NorB found the opportunity to explore music production for the first time, for which he discovered an immediate passion. In connecting with established Toronto-based artist & vocalist juSt b, of whom he’s been an avid supporter, the two have come together for an exquisite, dark & brooding collaboration in the form of a debut 3-track EP entitled Different Places, featuring juSt b’s original vocals.

Continuing the musical journey and collaboration with juSt b, NorB reached new milestones in late 2023 with the release of the joint track "At This Moment," remixed by the legendary  Henry Saiz. 
In early 2024, another significant achievement was realized with a track placement on ICONYC Records as part of the "We Are ICONYC" Album.

In the summer of 2023, NorB launched Static Fields, his monthly mix show dedicated to hypnotic and deep techno as its core focus, enriched with elements of progressive and break styles. Known for its distinctive atmosphere and immersive musical journey, Static Fields is now featured on two leading electronic music radio platforms, DI.FM and Afterhours.FM.

These endeavors mark pivotal moments in NorB's evolving career, showcasing their commitment to artistic exploration and collaboration within the electronic music scene.
