Banco De Gaia - Acquiescence (Tripswitch remix)

The shift is underway. We've seen the writing on the wall, and the transformational paradigm realignment in the electronic music industry is afoot. No longer are fans content to bang their heads in hedonistic ecstasy before passing out under a car in the parking lot. Supporters of the scene want more--and they're getting it. The sacred bass and downtemple scenes are emerging from their west coast haven to spread the word from coast to coast.

And it's a European producer who has gotten the ball rolling. Since the 80's, Toby Marks has been an influential producer and label head, amassing a huge catalog of tunes and treasures. His most recent album, Apollo, breathes new life into the industry, and as such, the remixes are equally potent. Artists like GAUDI, Kaya Project, and Eat Static take their turns on Ollopa: Apollo Remixed, and the results are extraordinary.

Today, we premiere the Desert Dwellers remix of "All Sleeping." This reset button for the body and soul is a liquid trip down healing waters into a soothing pool of transfixing percussion and light, glitchy melodies. Slip away on a whisper with this translucent delight that captures the mind. It's out there. And there's no doubt the boys are going to break it out when they play Sonic Blossom in Denver, CO next week. It's too good to keep locked up.

20 years ago I released Last Train to Lhasa - which makes me feel very old!

To mark the anniversary of its release, I have created a limited edition, physical only (no downloads or streams) 4 disc box set, featuring previously unheard alternative and extended ambient mixes as well as a handful of fresh remixes by like-minded artists. This will come out in June.

To kick-start the celebrations, I asked Ukraine’s soundcloud.com/astropilot and Dublin’s soundcloud.com/silinder to add some 21st Century flavour to the title track, and released them on Monday 30th March via all the mainstream download stores and streaming sites.

To mark this release, I am posting up this remix that I did myself of Lhasa. Please share the link far and wide.

Let’s Work is the sixth release from Canadian producer Jon Delerious on Nordic Trax -- and his most accomplished work to date. The five track EP bumps his signature deep, dubby and disco-influenced warehouse vibes with the title track having already found support from the likes of London house heavyweights Groove Armada.

A twenty year veteran of the Canadian scene, Jon Delerious has five previous EPs on Nordic Trax and the critically-acclaimed album 'No Warning' [2004]. Jon’s dub-influenced house for NT in the past has caught the eye of deejays and tastemakers worldwide, ending up perhaps most notably as the lead track on Lee Burridge’s Global Underground compilation. More recently he's released music for Large Music, Tilted, Lost My Dog, Soulstar, Llama Farm, and Sidetrak among others. 

Jon’s last release for NT ‘Forage EP’ [NT083] released 2015 was supported by Discobelle, Lars Behrenroth, Chris Fortier, Robbie Akbal, Claptone, Shur-I-Kan, Harri (Sub Club), Joyce Muniz, Shadow Child, Marco Carola, Droog and many more. 

A native of Calgary, the producer and deejay is a regular on the Western Canadian music scene and has been playing the infamous Shambhala Music festival since its inception. Alongside many club gigs and residencies in his home town, Jon is the 'go-to' dj for touring royalty having opened for everyone from Kevin Saunderson to Ben Watt and Jimpster.

It was one year ago that Canadian house music duo Cloverdale burst onto the scene with their debut track, Eat That. In only one year Cloverdale have found their raw, forward thinking and full of energy sound. The Halifax duo, comprised of bass music heavy hitter, AWAL and ultimate house head Jarett MacNeil had a big year packing rooms and dance floors across the East Coast of Canada + beyond. 

To celebrate their 1-Year Anniversary, Cloverdale presents “Eat That: The Remixes” out everywhere on Feb. 28th, 2019. The 4 track EP features the anticipated Cloverdale Eat That VIP as well as huge remixes from @awaltheawal @wegotthedope and @asurmusic .

As an act from the east coast Canadian city of Halifax, the Cloverdale boys are stoked to be able to showcase a remix pack featuring Halifax based producers. The city has become a hotbed of new and creative talent. This remix EP is a real product of that movement.
