Ja det var fantastiskt att äntligen höra dom nu i veckan. Vi har ett par som håller till här i närheten men reviret är ju väldigt stort, så det är svårt att hitta dom.
Jag har dock sett dom jaga hjort på långt håll samt ett par tveksamma obsar, plus att jag fick närkontakt (under 20m...) med en av dom som du ser på bilden till ljudet. Det var i november. Tyvärr var kameran trasig vid tillfället så det blev inte så bra bild, men det var en fin upplevelse i alla fall.

I recorded 2 wolfs that howl this evening...
They where a bit to far away, but the recording ended up ok (not very good) I think.
I was actually recording (trying to...) a beaver that gnaws on a tree, but the microphone was 30 meters upstream the beaver. Then I heard and recorded the wolfs. I walked away from the stream towards the wolfs and i got another recording without the water sound so they can be heard more clearly. This is th esecond recording without the water sound. Unfourtenately they moved away from me so the sound got weaker and weaker.

It's not often you can get close enough to record the illusive American Bittern. Usually they are so secretive they seem to select the most remote areas of marshes. This is a recording made in the spring of 2014 early one still May morning in a large marsh in Nova Scotia, Canada. A flock of blackbirds, Purple Grackles, Red Winged Blackbirds and Rusty Blackbirds congregated at the edge of the marsh and then of course, the amazing deep voice of the Bittern joins in. If you have never heard a Bittern, you should listen!
