Artūras Čertovas is a music lover from Vilnius. In his mix for Metamorphosen, he serves us a psychedelic journey through little-known regions of the 80s and through current music. The musical soundcapes are rough and dark, driving from minimal synth, to experimental, to even more difficult to define hymen of the obscure. But what all these selected treasures have in common is a hypnotic beauty that easily can set your Bodies into motion! And while we look at this sonic landscape with our listening ears and feel them with our slithering limbs, we realize that Artūras selection has long since sent us on a journey into our innermost being. Whether happiness is really waiting there remains to be seen, but there is no question that the journey is wild and of extraordinary sensuality.

This month’s Organic analogue Records show comes to us from 38 years in the past, presented to you by a mysterious collective known as the Land Speed Record Department.
Little is known about the individuals behind this project, but their area of interest is the year 1983 - a period when technology and culture were colliding at ever-increasing speed to give rise to some of the finest, most pioneering music to be wrestled out of human minds and studio circuitry. Land Speed Record Department have dedicated themselves to unearthing these sounds and arranging them in club-ready forms, presented here for you via two hour-long mixes.
Transmitting in 2021 from a year when the sound barrier was broken, hear the sound of creative barriers being broken in the finest fusion of experimentation and danceable invocations in electronic music history.

Mix #037 comes from magnificent California based DJ and producer, Memory Clap Acid.

Hailing from the late 90’s Northern California Rave & Post Hardcore scene. Then later the experimental dance music scene of the Bay Area.  Aldo Giovanni’s involvement in fucked up & sideways electronic music started at the young age of 14 with his obsession of releases by labels DHR, Mille Plateaux, Nothing, & Rephlex. Having then turned the family Compaq Presario PC into his makeshift workstation shortly after digesting all this music. He then found a new interest in Acid House & Techno after attending his 1st Wearhouse party in Oakland Ca, where he witnessed DJ Bone & DJ Dan playing on 3 turntables. Fast forward 22 years later and he’s still making trax reminiscent of that time only a little slower & sludgier with his Memory Clap Acid project.

With releases on Marshall Applewhite’s Junted label out of Detroit & forthcoming releases on Glasgow’s Clan Destine & L.A.’s The Black Lodge.
